Oh, PVS, doncha know? It's the president! He's allowed to take off on vacation whenever he feels like!

On the idea that Bush made a mistake.. He also said time will tell.

On the bit about catching Osama... he hasn't stopped even during invading Iraq. He isn't taking terrorism on 1 dimensionly. He it taking it over seas on 2 troubled areas. Why? So we don't see another 2300 people in 1 square mile in New York get hit with something else. He is playing chess. With the pieces over there and on the attack, it is hard to check the king. Also known as getting a viable plan to attack the united states homeland. It is all part of homeland security. There isn't one simple thing about the plan that he implemented other than chess strategy.

Lied under oath is pretty bad. Some people care about the infidelity, but having lied under oath isn't a good mark.

Was Kerry expected on the floor at that time? Bush does have a record of showing up punctually to meetings with the leaders of other nations.

as i always say, the difference between dems' and reps' thinking (from what i see)

dems: well, politicians are all full of shit...so i have to weigh the pros and cons of each candidate and see whose policy i find more acceptable...hmmm bush's record is pretty damn shakey...and kerry is a bit full of himself, but i agree with many of kerry's views and would rather see his plans take effect...i hope he doesnt turn out to be full of shit...

reps:bush is a wonderful and brilliant human being. he just pisses rainbows and craps sunshine, and he is on the side of god. democrats are liberals, and liberals are dirty godless commies who are ruining this nation. all hail bush.

Was Kerry excused for that absense? if not, it isn't a double standard.

Bush does have a record of showing up puntually at his meetings with other national leaders, something Clinton didn't do a good job on. He made a national leader wait for him for 2 hours. Great. Thanks bill.

rhetorical rambling mixed with a baseless doomsday scenario...sounds like a bush state of the union address 😂 i think the way to prevent the murder of more americans is...gee i dont know...perhaps go after the man who actually DID murder 3000+ americans?

Umm...Kingcoot, could you maybe post all your stuff into ONE post instead of constantly double and triple posting? It's kinda annoying. There is an edit function in case you've thought of something after you posted.

PVS -- hysterical

they dont take attendance in congress. they just show up on the important days, and stay home when there's nothing important on the floor.

Actually the real view of Reps: The democrats are on their way out. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, we'll have our Bill Clinton for 8 years like you guys did in the 90s.

Democrats thinking of Bill Clinton seemed similar to what you might think Reps think about George W. A certian, He's gotta be in there cause he's running for a 2nd term type cheer. It is the way.

yeah, burn the bastard!!!
and i heard that he kicked his dog down a flight of stairs...

btw, where are you going with that point? and what national leader?

Silver Stardust,

Good point, I noticed that when the paged flipped to 7 on me, and I rewrote and posted again, my bad. I did say i've been up awhile.

dude, you have been just rambling.
get to sleep and debate in the morning.
after that last rambling on dems and repubs i just
could not make any sense at all out of it. i just
cant take you seriously anymore...sorry.
maybe you will put up a good arguement when
you are well rested?

Attendence really is a week arguement.

People don't "not attend" the presidency. Kerry's attendence would be about as valid of an arguement as using GW's National Guard record against him...in the 2nd election...not the 1st.

Worry about IMPORTANT issues. Like why my Co-pay at the doctors used to be $10/per visit and now it's $15/per visit. Or how Gas was less than $1.50/per gallon when Bush took office and today when I went to get gas, I paid $2.47/per gallon. Hell, what about at the begining of his term when I used to pay $11/per unit for community college, and now I'm paying $28/per unit.

If California's government was so screwed up that they gave a govenor the boot mid-term...then wouldn't that warrant a little extra attention from the federal government and the president. Especially since California's economy is larger than most countries on the planet.

PVS, the men who had the stuff to do that are now dead for some period of time, now they regroup. Osama himself leads those types of men, but there are always leaders of an idea to lead them. He is after Osama and anyone who wants to replace him. They haven't left Afganistan. He hasn't said, yeah we pulled out cause we changed our minds. There won't be news of Osama until he is caught or found dead.

Gas is $2.47 in Cali? Damn, and I thought it was bad here in Chicago where's it's $2.25-$2.30...

Frankly, attendence is the dumbest argument I've heard yet. The only time a Senator actually NEEDS to attend a session is if they're voting for something, and even then some of them don't show up. Big deal.

I really don't like how California is set up too. There is a problem, and I believe it is Hollywood that jacked up all the prices of living, causing living to be an extra pain. I really don't like business decisions made by people in Hollywood. If what I hear is true, it is a society made up of people who compete to be the most popular and most special. Sounds like middle school on a grande scale.

Attendence doesn't mean anything concrete, it means everything to me on who a person is and how serious he is taking the job.

...

🙄

that's right i'm tired.
