Man, those are some big characters there 😖

This chapter was awesome. Theres the One Piece I love.

Don't care for Sanji fighting Vergo instead of Smoker. The latter really needs to make up for the pwning Law gave him.

But yeah, was good.

Man, I missed Sanji!

Considering Vergo intimidates Law, I'm not sure Sanji can win on his own. Maybe it'll be Sanji and Smoker vs Vergo?

All I know is, the whole Tashigi looks like Kuina hasn't been brought up since her introduction. This annoys me.

Too bad Kuina isn't alive, she'd be more badass.

I hope the Admirals help out in the New World a lot, because if Smoker is G5's second best person, they really need it.

The Marines pretty much suck at this point. Garp, Sengoku, Aokiji...A lot of strong guys just up and quit. Akainu and Kizaru are the only strong guys left, barring ones who haven't fought yet(like that Kong guy, he looks strong). Since we all know Shichibukai can't be trusted.

They do seem to have a lot of Vice and Rear Admirals, so it may be they get by on numbers.

And maybe someone else did get strong enough to be at admiral strength in the last 2 years.

It does rather explain why they're willing to use a group like the Shichibukai, though- with the power of pirates running around, 7 pretty-strong people does make a difference.

The strongest non-Admiral Marine before the timeskip was Magellan and he got demoted. I don't trust Akainu's judgement. 😛

Could've been the world government, not the navy, that did that.

Please, we all know that Sanji >>>>>>>>> Law to begin with.

I wouldn't be surprised if the World Government was enhancing some old Viceadmirals with Pacifista power or stuff like that.

Flame/explosion punch and leaving a trail of fire when running. A taste of things to come?

I suppose the mass produced Pacifista are a big help. They're pretty much as strong as supernova, after all.

One gets the impression that while the WG controls the Red Line, Paradise, and the Four Blues, the Yonkou really are the top powers in the New World.

I was always under the impression that the New World barely had any Marine influence. The Marines are spread pretty thinly and I think it's pretty obvious that combined forces of the Yonko would be>The Marines.

Yea.

Of course, the Yonkou don't combine forces, like ever, but still ^^

I'd suspect that pre-timeskip, the Marines could take on two, maybe three yonkou (that is, 3 admirals, Fleet Admiral, Garp, Kong, and pulling in forces like Magellan, their spread out rear admirals and commodores and so on beyond even the mobilization they did against Whitebeard).

Two'd be enough to cripple them and pretty much allow the Revolutionaries and remaining Yonkou to run wild, though. Three (if they managed to win), whoever's left could pretty much waltz in and take over.

Mmmh... The lack of world government is an interesting point, that would actually make New World pretty different from several arcs past, since the WG is building up to be the main antagonist of the series. I guess we'll need to wait and see.

I'm sure it controls parts, the island their at was a research base after all, but it's probably not even like Paradise, where most nations you visited were part of it.

I'm guessing there's some extremely secure facilities like Vegapunk's labs, but their roaming is much more limited and only some parts are patrolled.

An interesting chapter. The scheming is getting very convoluted. I have no idea who's side Law and what he wants anymore. Maybe is Uranus or Pluton. Monet is also getting kind of wierd. I'm getting a very Nico Robin vibe from her.

Joker vs Luffy was fun too.
