Yeah, I'd agree with that. I actually kind of like the main prince as well, and Arlong's sister. Shirahoshi is so adorable it makes me want to beat down a small child.

I also liked Vander Decken. He was a much more interesting villain than Hodi IMO, at least partly because he was so creepy and awesome.

It's too bad it didn't get a nice story like Water 7, another pretty cool place, did.

Its the complete opposite of the CP9 arc, where all (well, most) the villians were cool and memorable and the fights were awsome. That arc was sooooo good. This was a filler arc imo.

One thing that struck me when they were standing around talking and the giant fell- the entire crew is, like, super-tall now!

And yet their still probably shorter than Boa wih the exception of Brook and Franky. 😄

Uh........it's over? Wow I really did not care about these bad guys. It's sad to see that the strongest non-drugged person on the whole island is probably Jimbei; and Luffy's caught up to him I think 🙁

Now, I wouldn't have minded if this arc wrapped up three issues ago, but I actually loved many of the characters (mostly the Royal Family and Van Decker), and the island was colorful.

My main complaint is that Fishmen are made of lame and every fishman arc has more or less confirmed this. One single Devil-fruit user -albeit a broken one- showed more power than the entire cohort of villains, which may as well have been regular humans because their powers sucked Bellami style.

I still hope fodder Logia does something funny, or that the Yonkou that "protects" the island goes against the SH. Otherwise, let's move on!

What's more sad is no-one else was close.

This arc makes me feel like Oda is trying to 1-up Kishi's Madara.

Just when you thought their overpowered, something like this happens.

It's scary to think just how massive the power boost is after the timeskip.

The Yonkou should be pretty much untouchable now.
