Yet another record 🙂

The new volume has a print run of 4 million. For comparison, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix got 2.9. So it's like 1 1/3 Harry Potter books every volume at this point.

And it's up an entire million from 5 volumes ago!

At this rate, it will only get bigger and better.

So much storylines can be expanded due to the timeskip.

I liked Brook here: http://www.mangastream.com/read/one_piece/26770173/7

Though this chapter didn't really go anywhere or show us anything we couldn't already predict would happen.

And not a single Strawhat was pushed to use their full power 🙂

I wonder if Usopp or Chopper could've beaten Hodi post-upgrade?

Well Chopper and Sanji appeared to use theirs even if they were just showing off.

I'll wager Ussop would have better luck myself but both would have to deal with those water shots.

Poor Puff fish, he got pwned by two people instead of just one.

This was a pretty weak ass chapter IMO.

Never before have I strongly desired for the villains to just be beaten off-panel, so I wouldn't have to read this pathetic 13 page excuse for an update, and get the hell out of this arc. The main villains were taken down, who cares what happens to their fodder?

This is the weakest arc in One Piece, IMO.

You know you're pathetic when even Buggy is a more intimidating villain than you.

Buggy Ball ftw.

I like the whole "I'm destroying this ship half the size of the island it's running into with my bare hands." thing, but the fact that stuff is happening while that is happening is disappointing. I think this ark was just thrown together because we were supposed to get to that island to get to the new world...Why couldn't they just pass through?

wurd...

Cmon Oda, bring on the yonkou...

I think Oda is showing us just how powerful Luffy and his men have become after the timeskip.

I do agree, though, that this arc has run its course.

Yonkou must've had a massive power boost lol.

Yea, the problem is taking full-story time on relatively low-level threats.

Or maybe Oda is taking this battle as an opportunity to make a couple of future storylines.

This kind of battle is the reason for filler anime to exist.

This is kind of a lame way to do it though.

Hodi, the main villain, was introduced as... Stronger than Arlong. WHOA HOLY SHIT DAWG! Arlong is, WHAT!? Luffy's sixth villain or something!? From East Blue?

THIS HODI GUY MIGHT BE DANGEROUS.

Hodi is a joke, and Luffy beating the shit out of him doesn't make Luffy look so supar powerful (Really, Luffy pwning the Kraken and more importantly, one-shotting a Pacifista proved that), it makes Hodi look like a loser.

And the other Straw Hats fighting said loser's *****-ass lackeys has nothing vaguely resembling excitement or tension at all, it doesn't help that the Straw Hats are so casually wreaking ass, as if Oda is really trying to tell us how much Fishmen not named Jinbei suck ass.

All in all, this arc is laaaaaaame, IMO.

I didn't even bother to read it. Tell me when One Piece gets good again.

The day when I read Bleach over One Piece is a dark one indeed.

Shit man, you can't stand this, but read the Deicide arc of Bleach?

How does that shit work?

I was interested in how Aizen would lose. With Hodi, Luffy can take him out pretty much whenever he gets a few good shots in.

Plus Tatsuki was in Deicide.

The other fish pirates except for the giant didn't even really have any scenes based around them as individuals.

Super dangerous.

Really, it's only the drugs and numbers that even let them threaten the Kingdom's forces.

True, Tatsuki was in Deicide. mmm

I like Shirahoshi. 😐 I'm not sure why. She's part of the reason I stuck around for this arc. It might be my giant woman fetish. mmm

Hm, yeah that's probably it.

Shirahoshi was cool. Heck, the princes were cool, the mermaids they met... Fishman island is a pretty cool place.

It's too bad it didn't get a nice story like Water 7, another pretty cool place, did.
