I also stated that obviously Spidey was top dog in that department, but all of these characters are known and loved all over the world, and represent "firsts" or "bests" of their kind of character. That's why they are icons.
And Cap does "control the battlefield". It is one of his primary abilities as a character and a super soldier. That is why he is always written as the leader. Within the MU, there is no one better. Deal with it. It's a "pure bred fact".

I'm sorry I misread your claim, you say that Cap used his head to wreck concrete.....does this makes the claim any more legit? I don't think so. But hey, believe what you want to believe, I'd just suggest that you try to cool those insults of yours before you actually get a good chance to thoroughly examine your post for ANY trace of common sense. I know for myself that I need not look up something that just would not happen from a logical standpoint, unless someone is ready to admit that Cap would NOT be able to take that kind of punishment.
And I can understand Cap outsmarting Scorpion in a fight, but as far as hand-to-hand goes, unless Cap was literally curled up into a ball under his shield on the ground then I can't see him winning, hurting, or escaping the said fight without some major damage done. Allow me to elaborate:

And screw whether they are icons or not, this isn't Battle of the Network Stars, this is a 'versus' fight. This is a fight where both sides have no problem (this comes from the thread originator, not me) doing whatever it takes to win even if it means killing.
And I have no problem dealing with Cap "controlling the battlefield" every time, as long as there's prep time involoved. After all, that is what a great tactician such as Cap does first, right? He plans an attack before he makes his move. Gee, it's too bad that Cap will have no time to do that and would have to think on the fly ala without your precious prep time. When it all boils down to it, Spidey has alot more to work with physically on the fly than Cap and knows this, in addition, with his morals being a non-factor in controlling his actions, he'll be more than happy to capitalize. That's fact. Cap "shaping the battlefield" and "devising a plan" while at the same time avoiding a speedblitz courtesy of Spidey? Opinion. Oh yeah, he can his behind that sheild of his easily, before Spidey pulls it from his grasp. Then, as he is now easily exploitable to multiple attacks from Spidey from multiple angles (in the air), he's out of the picture. Btw, you don't have to deal with this, as long as I'm comfortable with it, I could care less about your criticism. So I'll make this short, I've noticed that you've stated time and time again that you do not get heated over someone insulting your favoirte character yet I remember a time when I made a comment about Cap and steroids that really p***ed you off.
And if you are as level-headed as you claim, you wouldn't go around insulting others and calling their theories (that you still have yet to disprove) rediculous. Not to mention that a calm person would not resort to bringing up the names of others in an attempt to insult them when originally your post should be directed at but one person. And a calm poster would never get so out of hand with an argument over who would win in a fight between fictional characters that they would send threating pm's to someone that disagrees with their views.

You're right; your comment about steroids did tick me off a little, but no more than our ribbing you about your whole "organ snatching" theory. It's characterization of Cap was ridiculous and your comment was full of insults towards fans of the character, namely me. Read your posts. But if you read through my posts, I've never "called you out" about anything. You're a Spidey-fanboy and that's cool with me, as long as you just accept it.
