Thor vs Doomsday

this post is silly. how could anyone say that thor would win. thor is a god and not God with the capitol G. a god in mavel terms is just a being naturally beyond that of a human (physically and or mentally) which whom is worshiped. thor is not immortal (only ages slow). he has died before. thor is only a 7 in speed because he can dimensional travel. he cannot move fast as sound. thor can only open dimensional portals (he cannot automatically teleport/blink a being somewhere like in I dream of genie). thor's durability has always been one level less than hulk's. His flesh is only several times denser than a human's. imagine thor getting hit with a doomsday fist traveling at 90 percent the speed of light (doomsday is officially faster than flash my friends). This is more than a trillon times the momentum of a rifle's bullet (thor is barely bullet proof). doomsday will literarly tear a gapping hole in the asgardian (just like he did to many other invincible beings <superman/darkseid etc.>😉. Doomsday will kill Thor in a matter of seconds.

note: superman maximum bench press strength is 250,000 tons (using telekinesis). this is about 2,500 times greater than thor's strength. And after hundreds (if not more) hits from superman did doomsday fall. Thor may not get the chance to strike him once let alone a hit from thor is not half as powerful as superman (remember momentum=mass x velocity and thor's hammer is only 40lbs. and is thrown a max of 500mph. compare to the 220lb. near light speed fist of superman).

also doomsday is immune to all forms of energy (even magic) since he was killed thousands of years ago by a being of pure energy. writers were in fault for having him fall to imperiex.

I don't think Thor even comes close to Doomsday when it comes to fighting speed. Only have to equate....

Superman said it's hard fighting Doomsday because he's so fast. Now who's the only other people faster than Superman? Flash and anyone connected to the Speed Force.

I think everyone would agree that Quicksilver's listing of 5 and Thor's listing of 7 in terms of speed doesn't make any sense and is therefore inaccurate. Thor probably moves as fast as Thanos when it comes to fighting speed. Thanos couldn't even keep up with The Runner.

Hence Thor is much slower than Doomsday. Whether Thor wins this fight or not, who knows? He has a hard time superstrong beings who don't possess superspeed - Hulk, Absorbing Man, Nameless One, etc - so I see him having an even more difficult time with Doomsday. The only thing he has going for him is the godblast or odinforce but he has to aim that, it's not like the Omega Beams, and Doomsday isn't just going to stand there.

Actually Doomsday might just only be walking towards him soo He might very well be able to use the odinforce.

Thor will kill doomsday. Thor is a god he is immortal where doomsday is not. Thor has more weapons, like the belt of strength to increase his godly sterngtht to another level surpassing doomsday. Thor has fighting experince fighting beings like ulik,hulk,count nefaria, galactus, ego, thanos, gladiator etc. Thor will out think him and will match him blow for blow, also thor can channel his godly energies an other into the hammer
for a powerful blast or throw either our it's powerful to slay or immortals. He did the same thing to galactus and ego and them on their ass, well galactus ass.
Doomsday will get his ass handed to him time after time, doomsday might get a couple of fights but tha's it. Doomsday suck, Thor rules bow down to the "KING"

nope, DD is way stronger than thor. At least if we're talking non sentient DD. Thor gets his ass kicked hard. He can put down DD once (as I said before) with the god force, or odin blast, but other than that, he's got nothin. He's not gonna beat DD with physical force, He can't KO DD, so what's he gonna do? having a slew of other powers at his disposel really is irrelevant, DD beat on superman (who's got a ton of diff powers by himself) and the rest of the JLA with moderate ease. Tie one hand behind thor's back and see what happens to him. And that was a weaker version of DD. After that not even an upgraded supes could do much to stop DD. Thor's got one chance to use his god force,,,,if he messes that up......man does he mess up.

Doomsday does not have the tools to kill Supes. "Death of Superman" was full of BS. Doomsday isn't unkillable. The second time, Superman got it done. IMHO Superman should have easily killed DD, like he did the second time. Superman probably could have killed Doomsday the first time. He just didn't want to.

Really, Superman wasn't fighting DD, he was fighting his writers who had already decided it was time for him to die. Those are unbeatble odds, even for the man of steel. DD killing a whole GL corp and the JLA is BS. The writers were just making him look good so that he could kill Superman.

Thor will just whack one of those bones in his head one good time, and DD's through.

that's gotta be one of the most ridiculous argument's I've ever read. seriously, where did you learn to debate?
first off, doomsday is superfast. that's not a debateble issue. you may as well try to convince us that wolverine doesn't have a healing factor.
examples. DD can hit superman wih ease, who's superfast. Boostergold claimed DD was faster than the flash. DD ran through the JLA before they could even START to formulate a plan after hitting him with their all. DD's taken out flash, DD kicked guy garners ass so fast he never even had a chance to fight back. Those are all just examples of the top of my head.
second off. So now we are to discredit what doomsday has done simply based on the fact that the writers deemed it that way. I guess I could very well say that the only reason superman has any of his powers is because the writers were just trying to make a profit from a superhero comic and needed to give him superhero powers, so he really doesn't have them......it's a totally illogical argument. And superman "easily" killing Doomsday the second time around. WTF?????? did you even read that comic? I'm going to assume that you didn't just bases on what you said. DD kicked the crippity crap out of an enhanced superman with lots of weapons at his disposal. DD broke superman's arm (coupound fracture), and had superman on the defensive for the better part of the fight, even when superman went on the offensive, giving DD his all, he even admitted he had reached his limit,,,,DD wasn't even breathing hard. we was just getting warmed up. the only reason superman won is because he used waverider's gauntlets to send DD ass to the end of time. Honestly you should either think before you post, or read you're comics a little more carefully before you start saying crap like that. And i could care lss if you think it's BS, it happened get over it.

So thor's got his god force, and teleportation. so he's got 2 chances for a win....in a straight up fight though,,,,,,,he's going down.

it's not ignorance of thor, it's just respect for doomsday. If the guy can take out superman, wonder woman, flash, martian manhunter, green lantern, orion, plasticman, and huntress all at the same time, imagine what he would do to thor. I think thor would have a hard enough time with superman alone, or with WW alone, or MM, or GL, or even flash, But all together, they'd boot thor's ass bad. DD creamed Darkseid in 3 hits, I don't think thors capable of doing something like that either. it's just compare and contrast. I've admitted that thor has a couple of ways to beat DD....maybe,,,,but in terms of percentage chance. Doomsday edges thor out in my mind. do you honestly think thor could have stomped the JLA with a hand tied behind his back?....i dunno man.

case in point. if hulk can beat hulk best 2 out a three or so DD will most likely kill him.

If Thor has the chance to open up a portal then he'll get the win.

If he fights Dd hand to hand he'll get his clock cleaned. Dd is much more durable and stronger than Superman (who's stronger than Thor) AND he has super venom coursing thru his knuckle claws. He is also super-fast.

Thor has been stomped by the Hulk in hand to hand, and Hulk doesn't have Dd's speed or poison claws, so Thor would put up a good front, but he'd get killed in the end.

He COULD probably kill Dd with his odinforce...but Dd would just come back and kill him. his bes bet is to open a portal to an uninhabited dimension so he can win the fight and go back to playing Halo 2.

The Hulk is 3 times the size of Doomsday...Thor is twice his size...u want to talk about Thor is only a few times more dense than a human being...Doomsday is only 300 something lbs...faster than flash too huh? Flash has powers that allow him to move at near the speed of light while in an atmosphere...Doomsday has those powers too? i question the consistency of DC writing as usual. Again, if someone moved that fast in the MU, they would ignite the atmosphere and and cause some serious shockwaves....regardless...Thor would still own DD.

Well, DC writing has never been he staple of consistancy, Crisis on infinate earths anyone? but the fact still remains, DD can outspeed superman and the rest of the JLA in fighting, it's been stated and proven.
and I'm pretty much in complete agreement with drdoom on this one.

I think Thor is being a little underrated here.

If I were to bet though I'd go with Doomsday.

Marvel uses the class system to classify the characters. Class 100 is the the limit for Thor, Hulk. Both has shown to lift more than 100 tons. Hulk lifted a 150 billion ton mountain in secret wars. Thor lifted part of the midgard serpent, which was the weight of the planet earth.

So Thor could match Superman's max 250 000 ton. To say supes stronger than Thor and Hulk 2500x is wrong. Hulk has the potential to exceed supes' and Thor will increase 10x in warrior madness, shows they are capable to beat Supes.

There is also "Incalculable" in Marvel strength system. Both those are for cosmic and we don see any earth heros there.

Put them in the canyon or somewhere rural and Thor will beat DD at least 3/4 of the time. I see that Thor will lose only if he becames cautious of the harm he might cause if he goes wild in battle.

Thor is a match for Supes in strength, and can only beat Supes cause of the magic he has.

Doomsday has no such weakness as that, and is stronger then Supes, and just as fast. It's not hard to see who'd win.

Thor = Supes. Thor w/magic > Supes. Doomsday>>>Supes, and Thor, and Thor w/magic.

DD is fast i admit, but hardly uses his speed in battle. Thor faced Set, when toe to toe with Atum (a god more powerful than zeus and odin put together). Scared off Galactus. Cracked a Celestial armor. All those fight Thor faired well, he won some too. DD is nowhere this guys. Thor will win it. Superman feared while fighting DD but Thor's courage is officially stated, second to none.
