Hmm...that link wasnt actually for the mod in those screens...all that link did was add a small ruin with a bunch of zombies and eventually at the end you get a lightsaber and a...lightsaber (shield hand). doh
Apparently those screens are for part 2 of the mod which hasnt been finished yet. hmm
Hey I was reading on the Elder Scrolls forum, apparently Bethesda took teh Radiant AI out of the game? 😑 Does anyone know anything about that...its the first I've heard of it, but it makes sense given the crappiness of the AI we've been given..
InnerRise if your in need of money just drop by Rockmilk cave, its a cave just near to leyawin which contains thieves and black bow archers who are more concentrated on taking each other out then fighting you, so their easypickings. It provides leveled items which can be sold for alot if you raid it properly, just make sure to get a feather spell and a chameleon spell, which come in really handy if your running low on health so you can hide.
To find the cave, do the mazoga the orc questline in the leyawin town hall.
Is that the one where he finds out his heritage? Yeah....probably wouldnt do that if I were you InnerRise....
Ill tell you what happens if you want to know, in case you think you'll regret it later...
Spoiler:
You have to find out who is (father?) is, and get back to him, afterwards he gets disappointed after finding out and when it comes time to duel him, he just stands there and lets you kill him. Easy victory, but it basically spoils the effort you've made to get that far.
Basically I would only do that quest if you want an easier time finishing the Arena, rather than an honorable way of finishing it...I was pissed off when I did it.
i was pissed too, i wanted a good fight at the end.

So the thing that has kept me from playing this game for the past, I'd say, 2 days or so is b/c I'm doing the whole "Find out where that guy is getting his cheap good from in the Imperial City".So I'm to the part where I have to wait for the guy that he was talking to to leave his house that I can sneak in and find some stuff out.
Well, who wants to turn a game on and just stand there and wait for how knows how long for him to come out of his house. That's annoying.
I have no idea when he comes out, so what if I leave and go and do other things and miss my chance. Its' frustrating.
So I also have this other thing that I plan on doing later, where this Arena player asked me to find proof of his birth right all the way to the WEST.
When I checked on the map and saw how far it wanted me to go, I was like. F**K!!!
That's ridiculous.
Plus, I don't even know if I can handle what's over there, so I've basically set that aside and not really giving a sh!t.
I'd planned on moving to other towns after this one and just exploring around, but then I got that quest to go all the way to the WEST out of my own way. Ummm....."ISH DON'T THINK SO". nono
So yeah..........
And I've been hearing about a Fighters Guild somewhere in town but haven't come across it yet at all.
And it's the only one I've been hearing about and I wanted to join the Mages Guild.
I am in mage by the way, so would it be bad for me to join the Fighters Guild............IF I EVER FIND THE DARN THING?!?!
Has anybody participated in the Arena at all? In what way?
Any suggestions on the whole waiting for the guy to leave so I can sneak in situation?
By the way, Usually when you come across a book or such, you can read it before it gives you the option to take/steal it.
So I come across this scroll in a shop and I just intend to read it, but there's no read option, just goes straight to steal.
SO I hit the button too fast and I accidentally stole it.
Freaks the hell out of me when they yell at you.
So I immediately dropped it, thinking everything was ok and I walk out and who greets me but a d@mn guard.
I decide to fight him and I lose.
So yeah.................annoying and scary.
How about I stop using the word scary and use "NERVOUS" instead. That's sounds about right.
This game is nerve wrecking.
As I said before, those CPU's are just so d@mn intimidating to me.
So yeah...............
Also, I suck at picking locks. Have no idea how to do those locks that have like 3 things to push up and they fall back down immediately.
I have no money so I can't buy anything or take those Training courses such as the one for picking Locks.
I've done nothing to get money in this game and have no idea what to do to get money?
Go out and find some random place full of creatures or whatever and get myself killed?
Ugh.........
So yeah.......when I first tried picking the guys lock that I waiting to leave, I made sure no guards were in my close vicinity.
I expected that if I were to get caught by a guard in the act it would occur as soon as I chose the option to pick his locks. So I try a number of times to pick the lock and then I just give up, as soon as I'm stop and turn around, there's this guard in my face.
How the he!! did see me from whereever the he!! he was.
Freaked me the he!! out once again.
It didn't help that some noisy @$$ random bystander jumped in the fight with the guard and ripped me a new hole.
This game is just impossible.

everyone in this game opens their shops and unlocks their doors at 9 am (or 7, im pretty sure its 9 though) so wait (use the wait button, you're not supposed to just stand there) until 9 and he'll walk out of his house and you can follow him. i remember it being at night though so check your quest details to find out when it is you need to follow him, it will most likely give you an exact time.
a big part of this game is travelling around the world, if you dont like going to the west to find out his heritage you wont like this game. after you've been to places once you can click on them in the map and fast travel which will cut down a lot on traveling through the world.
you can be in as many guilds as you want at once. the way i did it was i joined the mage guild and the fighters guild at the same time and just let the fighters guild quests take me to each town around cyrodill and then did the mages guild quest for each town since theres only one per city so i wouldnt have to do it later. that way you get quests done and get all across the map so you can fast travel later on. plus theres all the quests in the towns you get by asking about rumours which is fun.
and about picking locks, id use a lock picking spell instead of a lockpicks, its a lot easier to break into places and its a lot easier to level up alteration than it is to level up security.
to make money you have to do dungeons, or cheat. that works too. i didnt cheat until recently but its definitely worth it. item duplication is a life saver.

Good thing about lock picks:1.) You can easily buy them from a shady guy around the imperial city's walls.
2.) They're cheap so you can buy lots of them.
3.) The X button. 😐

i was pissed too, i wanted a good fight at the end.if this game is honestly too nerve wrecking for you, good luck in life, you're gonna have a heart attack before you're 30. its really not that scary.

But yeah..................where's the wait button?
I would have liked to respond to more of your posts and type more, but I must go ahora mismo.
Maybe later.
Thanks all.

The Wait's button the Back button, I believe.
That "WAIT" button is a life saver.
Definitely improves my gameplay.
I remember reading through the manual and seeing the wait button, but I hadn't played the game yet and had no idea what it was for and along the way I just forgot about it.
Thanks.
Also, I thought that you could only "Travel" automatically to places you've already been.
I've been traveling to places that I hadn't even been to and I finally found the Mage Guild and joined it.
Thinks are looking up.
I've solved that problem I was doing in the Imperial City and I delt with that Paranoid Fellow in that city that starts with a "K". Can't remember the name ahora mismo.
And also b/c of this instant traveling, it won't be such a feat going all the way to the West to that place to find out about the whole Birth Right business.
All I'll need to do is travel to that city that's to the West very close to the place and ride my horse from there.
By the way. Did anybody actually purchase a horse?
Being that I did some of the story I was given a horse from the get go.

Oblivion Expansion #2 - The Shivering Isles
US, January 5, 2007 - British gaming mags PC Gamer and PC Zone have spilled the beans on a new Oblivion expansion titled The Shivering Isles. The new content will let players explore The Isles, which are divided into northern/southern areas titled (not too invitingly) Mania and Dementia, respectively. Players will be able to reach the Shivering Isles through a door on an island that appears in Niben Bay near Bravil.
The expansion will extend Oblivion's gameplay for another 30+ hours, and includes new quests, creatures, and dungeons. One new quest involves solving a mystery in a town on the Mania/Dementia border, where every citizen has a look-a-like. Among the new monsters are the Gatekeeper, a collection of bodyparts that have been stitched together, and the Knights of the Order, made up of tree roots.
Oblivion's first expansion, Knights of the Nine, was released November 22, 2006 for PC and Xbox 360. So far, The Shivering Isles has only been announced for PC, but with a little fairy magic the 360 and upcoming PlayStation 3 versions will get to vacation in the Isles, as well. The expansion is currently set for a Q2 2007 release.

As if the game couldnt get any longer haha...sweet😎
I see what you all mean now.
I went off to do that "Birthright" quest and the ending result was just a load of BULL.
The quest itself wasn't all that cumbersome. It was okay and good practice for me.
I'm finding that the Arena is a nice thing as well. I'm up to the Bloodlet Rank. (I think that's the name)
I haven't lost yet.
I love the Summonings. They are my best friend, my life saver. I can't wait to get more, they really really really help you out.
Anybody else use Summons?
I have a question.
Concerning the woman in Ankvil that wants you to get the Crystal Ball out of the ship, where do you go once you enter that first room.
There are no other doors. I've looked at all the walls, I've looked for a trap door in the floor and I see nothing.
Thanks.
So yeah....basically my outlook on this game has drastically changed from what it once was.
I've joined the Mage Guild for now and as I'm doing that I'm also doing other little side quests that I come across. I'll join the Fighters Guild after I'm done the Mage Guild.

^^ I use summons sometime if I get jumped by lots of creatures, my daedroth really clears up, but apart from that i can pretty much hold my own against anything e.g. taking on 4 nether lichs at a time etc.
About the quest, which i finished a long time ago, apparently you need to loot a key off the captains corpse in the captains cabin then go down a trapdoor, hope that helps.

Are in you in the Dark Brotherhood yet? If not, you might want to go murder somebody. 😉

I dunno, havent played the game in a while but i think its near the entrance.
Those ghosts are ferocious though. I'll have to come back to them later.
Side Note.
I was in a dungeon and went to sleep and then woke up and had become a vampire. Luckily I had saved it right before so I just went back to my previous save and didn't sleep.
Ok, so then I sleep in that ship cabin bed and wake up and I'm turned into a vampire. Luckily once again I had saved it so I was ok.
I'm like WTF, is there this one vampire gunning for me or something.
The first time I ever slept in a dungeon, I wasn't turned into a vampire so I had no reason to suspect this of happening, nor did I know that you could be turned into a vampire that way. So it was surprising. Also, my character looked horribly aged and ugly so that definitely had to go.
Seconde Side Note.
How sturdy are the Xbox 360 controllers? I dropped mine on top of my Subwoofer and from there it fell onto my carpeted floor. It fell out my hand. It wasn't that long of a fall, but it made a loud enough impact.
I was replacing the controller and I haven't cut the system back on b/c I was finished playing it. So I'm not sure as of now if it's still fully functional.
Should I be worried?
Anybody else drop theirs? If so, does it still work properly?
