no, you can probably download them if you have it for the computer though. its like molding their face, its not like completely making a face from scratch. i picked a dark elf cuz that was the ebst race in morrowind and he looks fine. i should've picked a breton though.. better for a battlemage.
No you can practically make any character you want. I saw a video once of some guy who made his character look Exactly like Chuck Norris.... it was icredible

I actually wasn't impressed with the customization of characters.
One of the only things that disappointed me in that game, actually. A number of options seemed so limited (hair style/color and eye color come to mind).
So I finally played this game for the first time today and was blown away.................at first.
The game is beautiful as you all know.
It stops there................for me that is.
I don't like the character design. It was torture making a decent looking person.
And then when I finished, I wanted to see how he looked aged, just as I do in the Sims, and when I did that, it completely altered my person and I couldn't get him back to his former self so I had to do some more tedious tweaking.
Ok. Now....the gameplay is good.
I like it more when you're with a person or group of people and you can hear them talking and going through their roles and your'e apart of it. Feels very cinematic as if you're a part of the movie.
Now I'm just starting, so I didn't want to do a bunch of random exploring and getting myself killed.
So I get out of the first dungeon and I run into some people/creatures and what do you know. They're trying to freaking kill me.
Does everybody in this freaking game have a vendetta against me?
I hate that about this game.
Ok....Also, as I was saying about the exploring. Ahora Mismo I just plan to play the story and go through that. Maybe I'll do more exploring if I play this game a second time or something.
So I'm in the first gate of Oblivion and I finally find out where to go and then hordes of monsters are throwing themselves at me relentlessly and I die.
Of course I already know to save like crazy in this game, so it's no problem b/c I saved like seconds before I died anyway. The load screen even displayed a message about saving a lot so yeah.....
Did I mention the load screens. Not all the time...but sometime they can take forever. Especially the first one I experienced when first playing the game.
So yeah.....this game gets too difficult too fast in my opinion.
And I get so creeped out by the way the Characters look at you. Oh my god it creeps me out.
I hate it.
So I'll try again tomorrow to proceed in the tower.
It doesn't help that the soldier with me basically committed suicide by running into an avalanche of falling rocks to kills this goblin creature that would have been killed by the rocks anyway.
Ugh.
SO yeah. This game just has this other worldly "creep me out" factor.
The voices...the looks.......the stares........trances..........voices.......darkness....random people and creatures and animals trying to kill you.......the looks......gates......voices.....stares...eyes.......ugly creatures.........eyes............eyes...........eyes........I feel violated all the time....
So yeah........at first I was completely into this game.......Now I really just don't know what to say.
I don't hate the game, I just hate some things about the game.
I'll try my best to get back into it.
Maybe I'll feel better playing it during the day.
I actually will sleep in the game to skip the night time. It's stressful for me.
I'd really enjoy a lighthearted Xbox360 game right about now....but the only other one I have right now is Gears of War, which I haven't played yet and I don't think that'll do the job.
Me needs some Viva Pinata. ✅

Change the difficulty and buy a shield for blocking. Enemies scale with you, so unless you're fighting 3 at once you shouldnt have much of a problem..
You've got it on 360 right? Im not sure what mods they have, but PC has some mods for faces and stuff to make them better.
I feel like playing again, might make an elf..
Anyone got Knights of the Nine?
are you serious inner? this game scares you?
the people that attacked you were bandits, pretty much anyone you meet on the side of the road is a bandit and they try to rob and kill you. its supposed to hard at the beginning of the game, when you start leveling up and getting better it gives you a feeling of getting more powerful.

I do have a shield though that I picked up from somewhere.
Now that I think about it though, I had just equipped this big 2 handed sword, so I wasn't actually using a shield for that part that I was describing above. I'll switch back to my one handed sword and shield next time.
I was out all day today so I didn't get to play.
And there was actually like 3 enemies coming at me at the same time. And if it wasn't all at once, it was one after the other in this tight little hallway.
And I didn't know they could follow you through doorways and load screens.
So since they were overwhelming me, I leave the area through a door. The load screen comes and goes and I'm in a hallway alone, the next thing I know, I'm getting hit from behind with fire from this stupid creature that followed me.
SO yeah.........

I had a lot of issues with the night as a little child as well so bare with me. 😕

If I remember correctly, right out of the first area is the island over Vilverin. And yeah, there's a pair of relatively strong bandits there. I ended up sniping them from across the river. My best game, I actually completed Vilverin before even entering the Imperial City... ermm
Boy did it freak me out when all of a sudden out of no where I see this ghostly thing coming at me.
I didn't even bother entering that place that was right there. Didn't know what was down there, didn't know what level they/it were/was.
I thought I better play it safe and just stick to the story. Especially after fighting those 2 bandits.
So is Vilverin the place that I didn't enter?
Was it hard?
I actually entered through the door and after just standing there and looking down, I turned right back around and left.
I did read that book that they had there about vampires. It was actually a very compelling read and I didn't figure out the end until right before I read it. It was very good.
I came across some other books in the game as well. Man are they long! I hope reading those books aren't vital to gameplay b/c reading them is a game within themselves.
These people definitely wanted to make this world as realistic as possible, all these long novels I'm coming across. 😐
I really don't know how I should be playing this game.
Strictly story until I get stronger?
Just explore whatever dungeon I come across no matter what level of experience?
Avoid bandits?
Pursue them?

Well as far as enemy difficulty, enemies scale with you, meaning that if you get stronger, they get stronger. So it's kind of the same, except for you learning how to play fighting as you progress. More realistic "experience" gaining than traditional RPs, really. (just for fighting, though. All skills are still number-based.)
That said, Vilverin is long, especially for just starting the game. There's one room that has a large team of bandits with a well-equipped leader who can summon a Spirit, and most of the area is filled with Undead. It's a decent place to grab stuff to sell for more cash at the beginning of the game, though.
For play style, whatever floats your boat. Personally, I've only completed the first part of the actual plot, but I've done a ton of sidequests and exploring.
I also jump into dungeons and caves right when I first see them, and I haven't died yet. That Vampire hideout got a bit hairy, though...

It's amazing you didn't die going by how you described it.
What did you do? How did you fend off all of them at once?
Where did you come out at in the end?
Did it have a purpose or point when you finished?
How often do you still play this game?
Well being that I haven't come across any buying or selling of items, I have no idea how that part of the game works or how beneficial that will be.
It sucks that you can only take a certain number of stuff and having to throw some stuff away, b/c I've gotten rid of some good stuff.

I have a high skill in archery, so I was able to kill a few of the bandits from the shadows, like a proper Heroic Thief (what I decided I am 😛)
Where does it come out? It's built so that the final room connects back to the entry hall.
The point was loot, some new spells, gold, and experience.
I play every few days.

Maybe that wasn't best choice if Archery is doing that for you. 😐
Which Birthsign did you choose?
So far whenever I try to sneak, they still see/sense/feel/whatever me from afar.

id recommend leveling archery, your sword, and magic because magic alone isnt really that effective until your a master at it.
for the story id recommend doing the guilds, that'll get you around the map and get you experience and money as well. the best way to make money is selling weapons and armor so every time your inventory is full go to a shop and sell them. theres shops in every town and tehres usually a few different ones.
id also highly recommend buying spells at all the mage guilds you go to, the ease burden spells are a lifesaver (they're under the school of alteration). i can get my burden up to 750 pounds with all the spells i have which saves me having to drop pretty much anything.
