Hey, I endure sexism ALL the time in RL, but less so on the net...not sure why.
Sexism isn't universal among men, but a lot of men display it.
In RL I'll say something to a male friend. A few days will pass, and he'll repeat it back to me, ascribing it to "some guy he was talking with the other day, he's not sure who..." This happens ALL the time, but only with men, not women. Hmmm. Men seem to have a problem processing the fact that I can often be informative and analytical...they just can't incorporate that into their perception of me as essentially "fun" but insubstantial?
It's subtle, but it lets you know that you're never truly percieved, known, accepted, or included by men you enjoy. Ouch. But I suck it up, fun l'il lady that I am. Also, it shows the true value of the few male friends I have who never inflict that sh!t on me.

Hmm, yes, I do sometimes find that boys assume I'm one. But why is the default assumption male? OK, I suppose we ALL see one another as more or less mirrors or inverses. But what's up with RL and the "some guy, I don't remember who..." shadow that seems to follow me round and co-opt most of my male friends? I'm starting to get jealous of the guy; he's more widely quoted and referenced than me by far. Think I'll hunt him down and kill him...
Seriously, how the hell can rational people develop this inability to accept me as a woman IN RL? My gender is not exactly a subtle manifestation.

But, I'll point out to you- ONE of the ways not everyone is like me is that many are sexist. It's nearly omnipresent; don't deny it.

Since it supports the system of patriarchy, it's not in any man's ultimate individual interest to embrace it...the advantages you enjoy over females are only a distraction from your own exploitation by more dominant males! Since they'll use you often to death, I'd rather be a permanent "second-class" citizen than a "contender" for first class.
Yes, being born with male genetalia ONLY marks you as a contender for first-class status, and MANY are ready and willing to take you out of the race or use you as a prop to their own status...
You'd be best off dropping out and interacting more peaceably with those born to "second-class" status in the patriarchy and not inclined to participate. To establish yourself in that sub-culture, however, you'll have to practice the arts of equitable exchange and mutual respect. Practice and practice- even we must practice.
As has been pointed out before, many females ALSO embrace the patriarchal system in order to enjoy the beneficient attentions of dominant males. Baah, foolishness, all that cosseting of egos, and serving as a status props, is too much work...

Did you just tell guys to become gay? I mean, the whole point of the race to become the Alpha-male is to gain as many females' attention as you can. By dropping out of the race, you forfeit the feminine attention. As a result, there's only two other options to resort to. Becoming gay, or masturbating alot. No, wait, there's a third option now. Getting surgery to become a woman.
No, the point is getting power over other males, so that you can make unilateral choices, without your interests compromised by others...and, you can use other men to death to cement/bolster your position.
Work them in dangerous conditions...
More money, more power, do you think they haven't already reached a plateau, the highest possible access to women?

It's comparable to wolves really, males fight until the are the Alpha male, and the Alpha male is THE top of the ladder, and he gets the most feminine attention. He can't get any higher. However, in the human race, there is no top, yet men are constantly trying to reach it. For the sex.
As a male, I can safely make this generalization. There are exceptions of course, as with every rule, but not many.
The alpha wolf gets the most feminine attention? Yes he does, but he's not the only recipient of it!
I do know that the Alpha female is the high ranking female. It is her perogative to control the mating practices of the other females in the group. Generally, she will not permit them to mate/bear young, except in times of plenty or pack fission.
Why? Well, she's most directly concerned with family planning and the rearing of offspring in a pack, and she is rather obsessive about reserving all possible resources for her cubs. It's possible that this is because, of the 2 Alphas, only she can be certain that any given cub is hers.
The Alpha male exercises similar control over the sex lives of lower-ranking males. There is a huge range in the degree of sexual activity which a particular Alpha male will permit/tolerate in his underlings. Ironically, even the most aggressive and domineering Alphas SOMETIMES do not sire all the cubs in any given litter of the Alpha female. There are also "easy-going" alphas who will mate and then snooze peacably with full awareness that the Alpha female is still actively aquiring genetic material.
So, I would hardly try to compare human males to wolf males!
My point is, wolves are much more concerned wth ensuring that Nookie does not occur, than that it does! So, it's the inverse of the putative goal of the dominant human male.
Hehheheh, pity the Alpha female and male of the wolf species. Too much of their energy is directed towards the disruption/suppression of sexual activity.

Anyway, nearly everything human males do is for females. They get a job, to earn money, to buy things that impress women. They go to college to become more intelligent, which impresses women(well, the worthwhile women anyway). Men dress nicely to show women they have some sort of taste, etc.
When men stop concerning themselves with women, they don't do much of anything anymore. Then we get these old sweaty fat guys dressed up in tinfoil armor playing Dungeons and Dragons in their mother's basement.
