Further more, you've just set the rest of the entire world much, much farther back than any war in Iraq could possibly do. You DO realize that the United States is allies with most of Europe, and that if Europe were to suddenly gang up on America....Other countries would come to America's aid just because of their vested interest in the US. right?

You named Russia, the US, and Europe as super powers. What about the Asian side of the world. What would Japan, China, Australia, Indonesia...and all of the alike countries do while 15 countries gang up on the US?

What you guys are talking about is World War 3. There can be no uniting all of Europe to create an army just to "keep America in check" otherwise you'll have armagedon.

I think if a United Europe was created the US's allies in Europe would disappear. personally i have nothing against the US, its a great country but a lot of europe feels differently.

A united europe would not be created just to keep the US in check, it would have many other purposes as well like providing financial stability in Europe.

The reason people would like a United Europe to keep the US"in check" is because at the moment the US can make decisions which have a dramatic impact on the rest of the world but the rest of the world can have no say in them, like environmental policies. A united europe would just give europe some political clout to use when the US was embarking on policies which affect the rest of the world for the worse in the interests of the US.

so no other leaders would do this?

this may be a little off topic but why DO americans hate the french and feel the need to lump europe into one country (which seems a little narrow minded as every country is very distinct)

Well about the french, about half the country hates it when people disagree with them or point out faults in policy.(Not all Americans hate the French, no need to generallize about them either)

And about lumping Europe together, a large number of people in America... a large number are absolutely horrible at geography and too ****ing stupid to look at a map. Has to do with the public education system not teach you shit here.

it seems that 90% of Americans are ignorant to anything that originates outside their borders

i dont see why the american hate the french cos the french are the reason the US is the way it is today. They played a pivital rople in the war of indipendence against the english!

they think the US is all thw orld has to offer, and that is the greatest nation in the world! which its not! they want to make the whole of europe one country so it is easier for them in geograhpy, cos they cant tell half the countrys apart, lol.

and they are not 'a little narrow minded' cermiestar, they are alot narrow minded when it comes to the world outside their own borders!

all of you are sitting here calling american's idiots and ignorant...

is it really any wonder why Americans have a less than stellar view of Europeans. You're all pricks....snobby pricks no less.

A Buncha shit talkers that can't teach what they preach.

i think tony blair is a little sheep who is too scared to disagree with george bush

I totally agree 👆

At least we by a majority take the time to know about your country and what goes on in it, being the ally that we are. I know Americans who are too ignorant to see outside their own state and still think that England is all tea, suits and James Bond.

I challenge you to find a Brit who still believes there's cowboys and indians running around the US. Never happen. Americans more often than not believe the English stereotype they are fed and actually take it as fact, which is why many Americans are surprised when they come here.

Anyone could argue that due to America's lack of will to evolve as a country and stay as a young, upstart nation, is the reason why it's strong but significantly smaller ally (Britain), is going down the drain. Coz instead of your country continuing to grow, you drag us down to your level.

I personaly don't have anything agaisn't the French or any other Nation in the world. But there are two sides to the coin. I heard many British hate the French and vise versa. Why is that? Is it a soccer thing?

Majority of US and UK, the world in general are idiots. That has something to do with it.

Also the fact that when many Britons go over to France it's said they're met with arrogance, ignorance and possibly hostility if you don't speak french. I've been and never experienced that but then again, when the whole world makes fun of you then wants to vacation in your country, can you blame them for getting their own back?

Thats because youre always yakkin about America! How bout talking about yourselves once in awhile?

No offence, but when our only solid ally is the biggest and arguably most powerful nation in the world with a leader who does nothing but exploit our leader, this in turn effects our country. The way our country is run does not effect you as much as the way yours run, effects us.

Sort your government out, or indeed 51% of the voting populace and a president who is willing to be closer to an equal than Bush and maybe both our countries can get back to normal. It isn't making us any more popular in the world when Bush keeps bending Blair over a desk is it?

Damn.

i agree sometime americans can seem oblivious to what is goin on outside there country...sometimes its as if america live in there own little planet...thats the impression i get sometimes...no offence to anyone cos i know it dont apply to every american

I'm not applying what I said to all Americans either, just to clarify.

I just find it quite BS (and I'm not defending my country or it's people here) that Europe are gonna take the blame and be called snobby bastards who don't worry about our own country but America instead. If America tried living in the now and smarten up rather than putting Bush back in office, our relationship (politically) with the US might be more Friend-Friend rather than Bully-Sidekick. Wirh Blair it's the British peoples opinion VS George Bush, guess what? He aint backing us.
