It's already been mentioned that you can't use the Bible as proof of God (if you could, why can't you use other religious works to prove those religions, hm?), but it is also worth mentioning that the writers of the gospels were not eye-witnesses to the events describes. Mark might have gotten his information from Peter, but that's the closest you're going to get.

The bible (christianity) is the oldest religion out there. Mainly, because it's the only religion where real people give account of a living breathing Jesus.
But besides that,... Like I said in my previous post,... I could go in rounds with this. I'm not trying to control anyones thinking here,.. you either seek it out and see what it means to you or leave it alone. Everyone has a choice and a oppinion. That's cool! All I know is it took me much more then what I'm typing in this post to believe myself. I don't expect it to be different for anyone else. Religion is a personal thing to people, and I respect that.

No actually that is very wrong.
Oldest still widely practiced religion (as in worlds main religions) out there is Hinduism. And if you want an oldest religion where people can account for a living breathing person that has started it, that would be Buddhism. Then Judeism, and then Christinaity.

Oldest religion out there...HA! Jesus supposedly lived 2000 years ago, so Christianity is less than 2000 years old. Jesus was a Jew, according to the bible. So Judaism HAD to have been around before Christianity. There are many many religions that are older than Christianity.
