Repost: Momentum doesn't work like that, he doesn't instantly gain a huge amount of momentum as soon as he ports up. He needs to gain velocity first in order to gain momentum. If he teleports away a second after (I think he can do it fast than that anyway) he's only gained a speed of 10m/s which is manageable for a master acrobat like Kurt.
Wolverine however will hit terminal velocity, which with adamantium bones is very high velocity from 2 miles up.

Nightcrawler has better intelligence, physical speed, agility, reflexes & coordination, range due to wallcrawling and teleportation and more prehensile limbs than Wolvie. He can attack Wolverine from any and every direction, and all he has to do is get physical contact to port Wolvie 2 miles into the air.

He has to gain that momentum, I understand what you mean like jumping at the last minute of an elevator crash, but I'm saying he can constantly port to safety.
That kind of rapid-fire teleporting quickly exhausts Nightcrawler. His range being limited by what he can see, he could only use this tactic if he had a view of the open sky. In addition, at the moment he reaches the apex of his ascent, he's already starting to drop, so it would be too late for him to avoid being affected by the inertia of a fall.
He could make it hard for Wolverine to catch him, but he has no feasable means to hurt Logan. If he tried to punch or kick him, he'd just break his hands and feet.
Or if he tries rapid-fire teleporting with Wolverine in tow (and this is making the assumption he manages to grab Wolverine without getting clawed up), that won't work either. Wolverine is more resistant to the fatigue and pain of teleportation, he'd still be able to turn around and slice Kurt open whenever they landed.

Inertia is the resistance of an object to change in motion. What they would both gain is an increase in downwards momentum as soon as they begin to descend from the peak of a teleport. The increase in momentum is proportional to speed which is proportional to time. Acceleration due to gravity is constant.
Yes I am assuming open sky but no I am not assuming they must be outdoors. Nightcrawler is constantly teleporting into and out of places while only knowing the general layout.
Yes multiple teleports do wear him out but they take a toll on the passenger too and as Nightcrawler is more used to teleporting this toll is usually far greater on the recipient. I will accept that the healing factor may make this experience more bearable for Logan but I dispute that this would make it more bearable for him than Kurt.
If NC gets a hand, a finger a tail even to Logan, then all it takes is a teleport up, and a teleport down. The second port is easy cos he's not bringing Logan down with him. He's back on the ground to watch Logan make impact.
Logan is not slicing him open as soon as they land because they aren't landing together.
Depending on the locale of the fight:
If he lands on water, he'll sink unconscious, thus drowning.
If he lands on land, and still has a pulse NC's porting Wolvie back up for another ride. I'm not buying any BS about Logan getting right back up from a 2 mile fall at terminal velocity.

Wolverine has jumped out of an airplane before, he wasn't even unconscious, all he said was "no worse then a hit from the Hulk."
