we got a week until spring training games begin! Man, I don't know about you guys, but I'm really looking forward to this season, moreso than the last 4. The NL East is going to be more competitive, it will be interesting to watch throughout the season.

well bonds said hes out until mid-season at least maybe even a lil longer.. i dont think its any question that he will break Ruths record (that is unless hes unable to ever come back this year) but its seeming more and more likely that Aarons record is pretty safe from him

This sport disgusts me.

Pete Rose gets kicked out of baseball forever just for betting on a game. Hell, they've even been talking about not allowing him into the Hall of Fame.

Yet, Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa all set records while juicing and they not only get to continue playing....but they are almost assuredly going to the Hall of Fame.

What Rose did was bad...but he didn't cheat to win.

I think Bond's can break Aarons.

Its true. Look at Bond when he was in his twenties and now look at him. He's almost twice the size in muscle mass. Bullshit that he did that all by working out. Same with McGwire, he's huge.
Also, I have no respect for them because they keep on denying the truth that they used steriods. I have little respect for Canseco and Giami because atleast they admitted that they used steriods.
I think Bonds, McGwire's records should be disallowed. Babe Ruth hit those homeruns on beer, fried chicken, deadball era, higher mounds, larger parks and more importantly 30 less games than now. Its almost amazing how players could do that back in the day.
I agree with Link, if the McGwire, Bonds is allowed in the hall of fame, Pete Rose should be in it. He's one the best hitter's ever in baseball.

Jim Thome was also real small when he first came.
