Thanks 🙂 ...imma whoop Maddux's gold glove total ✅ ...and I was wondering if anyone was gonna notice that part of the post 😆

I have to say the Angels name change is extremely stupid and will do nothing but harm the team at this rate.

Seriously, Anahiem is not a part of Los Angelos county, it has nothing to do with LA. It's really really dumb.

Also, Los Angelos is spanish for "The Angels". So basically now the team is -The the Angel's angels of Anehiem. Really dumb....

welp, Carlos Beltran didn't accept the Astros offer, which means the Astros can't sign him till like March.

They (the experts/analysts) are saying its down to the Cubs and Mets. I hope it's the Cubs...simply because I would like Atlanta to nab Sammy Sosa. He had a rough year in 2004, but hey, he's Sammy Sosa. Patterson has said he would move to left or right if they sign Beltran, and the Cubs aren't too crazy about keeping Sosa as it is. So it would make it a lot easier to get Sosa

Its mostly a done deal for Beltran to go to the Mets. I wanted him to go to the Cubs too, so he can help them reverse their curse, and because him going to the Mets give the Phillies even less of a chance to win the Division. Beltran's gonna be a Vlad Guerro/Jeff Conine player to the Phillies. They both just crush the Phillies. Almost every game Vlad played against the Phillies he hit a home-run. But, of course, Vlad is great. Conine is mediocre, and he just crushes the Phillies too. I have a feeling that Beltran will be just like Vlad to the Phillies.

yep, and its done...7 years, 119 million

Omar Minaya is goin crazy!

at least he didn't go to the Yankees...

✅ too right you are doc ✅

I love the starting rotation for LA now. If they were to get rid of Ishii to free up some money to help the bench, this is wut the rotation would look like:

1. Odalis Perez
2. Derek Lowe
3. Brad Penny
4. Jeff Weaver
5. Edwin Jackson

yeah.. i forgot to mention that too...

I always like predicting who will be in the Playoffs before Spring Training starts.. heres what i think

NL East
Braves(again)
NL Central
Cardinals
NL West
Dodgers
NL Wildcard
Cubs

AL East
Yankees(could easily be Red Sox too)
AL Central
Twins
AL West
Angels
Wild Card
Red Sox(or Yankees depending on who wins the division)

I agree with all of that...it's not exactly what I would like to see happen next October, but I do agree.

I would pick the Mets or Phillies to win the NL East, but it's hard to do that. The Mets have a lot of "unknowns" and this next season will be more of a "how are we going to do with a new GM, a new manager, and new players" type of season. Sure, they got Beltran and Pedro, moved some players arround, etc...But how will they all mesh as a team? The Phillies just always seem flat - like Atlanta in the post season...everyone sittin down, acting all depressed, not pickin each other up. I really thought last year was the year the Braves streak was goin to end. I will continue to pick them as the Division Champs until someone puts an end to their run.

Also, I really think that the NL West will come right down to the last week...once again. Everyone seems to be concentrating on the Randy Johnson/Carlos Beltran situations, or the Dodgers/D'backs stuff...the Giants haven't done too bad for themselves so far.

which is why I said:

"I would pick the Mets or Phillies to win the NL East, but it's hard to do that" lol...meaning, the reasons I posted are the reasons why I'm not picking them

Braves signed Raul Mondesi to a 1 year 1 mil deal

At first I didn't like this...not at all. But seein how the Braves seem to help players resurrect their careers, I'm kind of lookin forward to seein Mondesi play. He's shown some talent in the past, winning a Rookie of the Year award...as long as he doesn't leave like he was doin last year, he might find himself a 2-3 year home in atlanta.

I hate Mondesi with a passion but that's a good deal for the Braves. If he starts being a idiot again the Braves can just get rid of him with only a 1 million dollar contract and he still has nice power with the bat and a cannon of a arm.

I remember him while he played in Toronto. Has a hand cannon but like Doc say's, he's a bloody moron. Also, he couldnt hit for average.

haha, y is Mondesi still in the MLB? he is a joke. He used to be one of my favorites. Ya, he was something, but not anymore.

Well if he gets his act together, he could be "ok". Nothing special, but he does bring experience to right field. The Braves signed Brian Jordan to play Left. Neither guy will hit .300 or hit 25 homeruns...but for the time being, I think its a nice outfield. This will be great for 2 of the Braves top outfield prospects to have contact with some veterans.

I wouldnt want any younger guy to get into contect with Mondesi.

the guy had some problems...doesn't mean he can't change...doesn't mean he's going to be a bad influence on younger players. He brings veteran presence to the outfield, which is the main thing...if he continues to display off the field problems, i'm sure the Braves will cut ties with him quickly...but for the time being, i'm positive the younger guys are looking forward to meeting/competing with him and jordan in the outfield. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Mondesi as a person, for as much as I know about him. But what I know about his clubhouse and on the field presence, it's nice to have.

I just remember him being with the Jays, and he caused more problems than he fixed.
