Or forerunner tech is simply overrated, since it is confirmed that the marines were easily able to beat the covenant on land, but then they would simply destroy the planet from space.
OK, a halo shouldnt be that hard to find, it's isnt cloaked, it's cirkling around a planet and it's BIG, so anyone who's bothering to look through a telescope would have found one

You really need to get your head checked ice.... Theres no tech that could scan something sooo large and find something sooo small...
The signal would take an eon just to get to halo....
Yes marines were making sooo many victories... is that why the covenant swept aside all of the earths defences.. distroyed most of the conlanised planets and wiped out nearly all the of fleat???

thats almost like if I found a TV with no tube in it, and decided to base my ultimate technology on a busted television.. just to find out someone already discovered plasma tv

If you found a machine gun would you then start using a pistol??? No it makes no sense that they don't have other halo weapons or that the know nothing about the forerunners, The books tell you that they came to one of the human planets to take an item... The item showed the location of the 1st halo... so they never knew where halo was till they got guided there by the POA...
You don't see them using Forerunner lasers either...
