For those Samus-supporters, don't say that "It's only the Chief against Samus, not Chief and Cortana vs Samus!" Cortana basically is a program that he uses. She can go in and out of his suit circuit, and uses some of his brain wetware for processing and extra storage.

Yeah, it does, but basically, she either takes only her helmet off,( which is pretty easy)
or the suit comically "warps" (anime style) and shows her body without the suit. You don't actually see her take off all the components of the suit.

The only way she can take it all off is with surgery.(Remember, in Metroid Fusion?)

Some developers apporached Bungie with attempt to get rights to the Halo movie. I think Bungie approved(with reluctancy), but they're going to babysit the whole set until they think it's done right.

They're already trying to decide who should direct it, and some prototypes for the Chief's armor is being drawn up. I think.

In response Zen2nd: fair enough. Multiplayer in Echoes has a power-up that allows you to hack opponents, disabling their weapons, equipment, or even causing their shields and health to take damage. So same sort of stuff, making them equal.

(And I should mention that enemies in the Sanctuary Temple (called Rezbits) will infect Samus' suit with a virus in the single-player game.)

The reason that the power suit could only be removed through surgery is because she was comatose (the actual text says it's because she was unconscious, but there's really no difference here). Start a new file, and read the text.

If you wish to allow the Halo books, try theSuper Metroid Comics. The reason I'm posting these is because the comics have come to be considered a large part of Metroid canon. (Samus' CO Adam, for instance, who was referred to in Fusion.)

Well not totally true. As that is only in the multiplayer, and thats not a power she really has. The multiplayer is just a thing they threw in to make the game last that bit longer.

Forget that last bit as how can you disable MC? His suit is not part of him plus if you managed some how to do that Cortana would destroy the threat. Also can't disable his weapons as he carries them around.

Okay, I'll take something from the real game then. In Echoes, those Rezbits I referred to earlier, I've fought plenty of them now. They hit you with a virus that disables ALL your weapon systems, visors (meaning you can't see. AT ALL.), and locks the suit so that you can't move. To remove the virus, you have to reboot the entire suit, which admittedly takes about 5 seconds, during which Samus can't do anything.

So if Cortana managed to upload a virus into Samus' system, and if MC could manage to deplete 15 energy tanks' worth of health in those 5 seconds, then MAYBE he could win.

MAYBE.

2-3 shots with the fuel rod cannon, or 4-6 hits with the energy sword.

Active camo: Basically the Chief can sneak up behind Samus, and whack her with a mighty Energy Sword blow to the head. The first one won't kill her, but she will be dazed, and that gives the Chief more tahn enough time to double back and finish her off with a second hit.

And how exactly does the active camo work? Samus' suit senses any life signs, or possible sensor anomalies.

Hmm... so you're saying that Samus could simply hand Chief print outs of the better endings to her games... and whilst he's distracted, she could calmly disable his life support system?

I'm sorry you see it like that but I was not bragging I was stating facts. Yes when compared to other armoured characters Samus does have more abilities and is less realistic but thats the way Nintendo wanted it. I admit that yes her beam cannon does not run out of power and ammo but I'm sure there was a reason for that. Her missiles and power bombs do have a limit to their number. And i have never disrespected or downplayed MC's weapons or abilities it's just that when compared to Samus he pulls up second in most if not all departments.

He can only carry two guns and ten grenades. Samus has all her beam incarnations, both types of missile and the power bomb at her disposal from the start of the fight. MC's armour and shield are incredibly weak, a single grenade can leave him at deaths door. Samus' armour can take far more damage before death. Finally MC's physical abilities are not as advanced as Samus, who can jump further, run faster and operate in different environments with greater efficiency than MC can.

These are simple facts and while they don't make winning impossible for the Chief they make it much harder. Yes it's unfair that Nintendo made Samus so powerful but that was their decision not mine, take it up with them.
