alright so you think that all the enemies in prime are week ok thats your opinion but of course you must not have played it considering there are elite pirates and lets not forget the omega pirate ridley and metroid prime himself and as far as the metroids go the would destroy mc. now onto the next thing if memory serves me right then samus has been training and fighting since she was 4 the same age her parents were killed by the space pirates so there is 2 more years of expierience for her. and for the next thing I believe you are right about link he should be hella old dude he shouldn't even be able to pic up a sword anymore but as in nintendo fashion characters never change unless you are playing the newer link crap. and lastly I hear a lot of talk about those damn books who gives a flying f*ck about the books we don't care about the books the books are not part of this thread the thread was merely based off of the characters from the games not about some stupid book to tell you about the characters personality it is quite obvious what mc's personality is so please would you people get off of the books the books are not relevent to this debate. 🙂

oh and I play both games multiplayer so don't say that I am just dropping in to dis mc I think mc is a bad-ass but I think samus has more going for her.

I've played Prime...the Pirates aren't anything special. Captain Morgan would take them all on and drink a bottle of his finest Spiced Rum afterwards just to piss it back out on their graves.

You shouldn't have to get 1/2 through the game to see something other than little creatures pop up out of the ground or little flood wannabes clogging up tunnels.

Now of course...I'm not going to give my opinion of who will win or lose because I think it could easily go either way.

I'm just defending some of the weaker arguements against MC. I'm sure Satsu has posted plenty of LEGIT reasons why Samus can win...

Elite pirates suck. I've fought them, and they're incredibly easy, compared to trying to stop a charging gold elite with a sword in Halo 2. Also, the weapons are starting to get a bit old. Still classic...they should come up with a new missle, or beam, or whatever...the only new stuff you get in Echoes is (or so I've heard from Matthew, who's buying) is Light and Dark suit, and beam.
And by the way, if you want your post to be taken seriously, improve your blasted writing skills! I'm see one big paragraph with poor spelling, and grammar.
And trying to stop honor guard Brutes on legendary is something to be reckoned with. Not so much for the Metroid prime("Eww!", the first time I saw).

Honor Guard Brutes and Elites are practically impossible to kill without a plasma grenade in Halo 2.

Like you said your friend will only let you watch so maybe you should walk on down to the Blockbuster movie and video game rental place and rent it unless you don't have a GC. I own both Halo games and both Metroid games and I haven't dissed anyone I am just saying that Samus merely has a legacy of games and Master Chief has 2, and I know you guys are going to take that out of context and think that I am bashing Master Chief, but I'm not. I believe it would be a very close fight and I actually think that NEITHER of them would win because I think that they would wind up killing each other and of course MC would again be added on to but whatever. As far as my grammer, spelling, and punctuation is concerned is that a little bit better for you there oh darketh one? 🙂

I have played it, and have watched my friend play it.(Metroid Prime.)
Don't try and jump to conclusions.
I don't really have to play it to find out what it's like, watching is good, too. Besides, MC can run and grab Active Camo, and whack her from behind with an energy sword. No, don't go and say that her vison can detect "bio-signs" or whatever. MC is invisible... you just think it's that easy? To show the invisible guy in armor standing there, like normal?
Samus doesn't have a scope or a sniper weapon yet... The Chief can pick up a beam rifle, snipe her in the head. The trails will give his position away, but he can run damned fast.(Again, read the Halo novels. They give you insight on his training experience.)
Then, Samus will pound the general area with Missles and wide beam, Chief gets hit by a stray one, and his shields will go out, but he dives behind a rock before she can point out his location. Because of the beam rifle round, her visor will be cracked and be venting atmosphere, and Samus will be disoriented. That gives the Chief more than enough time to let the rifle cool down, and finish her off.

So just to inform you the thermal visor picks up heat signatures of a target and the x-ray visor can pick up on invisible objects and enemies. So what is your response to that one? yet again you keep refering to those gaddamn books. THE BOOKS HAVE NO RELEVENT INFORMATION TO THIS DEBATE IT IS ABOUT THE GAMES AND NOT WHAT HAPPENS IN SOME STUPID DUMBASS BOOK! SO JUST REMOVE THE BOOKS CRAP FROM YOUR THINKING PROCESS!

The Halo books give us some insight to what the Chief's armour can do. Even if she does have X-Ray and Heat visors, remember what you can do in MP Echoes? Hacking(Read the review in Nintendo Power.)? Cortana(the hacker A.I.) could easily hijack inside Samus's suit using wireless broadcasting, and jam the input on her visor.

Cortana could at the very least distract Samus enough, and/or disable her visor's for the MC to whack her with a sword.

Ok dude first of all I am not 12 second I know exactly what hacking mode is I play the game every day. I thought that this thread was about Samus and Master Chief, not Cortana and as for my spelling sorry didn't know that you were websters friggin dictionary.

but if that was the case then it really wouldn't be much of a fight because it wouldn't be 1 on 1 it definately be an unfair advantage for MC
