they once teamed up in a time before wolverine had his bones coated in adamantium and before bengrimm got hit by cosmic rayes.
the series only lasted 3 issues

[list][*]1st battle - Rogue fastball-special'd Wolverine into Grimm. Logan had his claws sheathed, so Ben was able to shrug it off and managed to knock out Logan who was still dazed from the impact, as Richards noticed. A very questionable win for Ben, if it can be counted at all.
[*]2nd battle - Thing attacked Wolverine who was busy trying to slice through IW's shields. Wolverine went berserker and sliced Ben's face. Thing retaliated, didn't put Logan down though. A win for Wolverine - Ben was pretty much done, in a world of hurt, while Wolverine was still standing at the end and ready to fight.
[*]3rd battle - from X4 miniseries - stalemate. Ben was about to get stabbed, was saved by IW.
Other encounters from X4 shouldn't be discussed, as they were either too brief or had Cyke and Thing fight Logan, who had Mr. Fantastic's powers at the time and wasn't in his right mind thanks to the pain from the cosmic radiaiton.
[*]4th battle - EOTS - mind-controlled Logan, missing a portion of his soul, stabbed Thing in the shoulder and put him down.[/list]

How could the first battle be questionable? A win's a win. He koed Wolverine, meaning Thing could KO Wolverine as much as Logan could cut him. The 2nd was not even a fight. Ben basically held Logan down before he could kill IW. Logan went berserk. But when Logan realized, Ben hit him sending Logan flying from building to building.
