Intelligent communication - I can't take it anymore!

I neither claim to be profoundly intelligent or a master of the english language, but there are a few people in here who can't spell for their fricken' life or string together one cohesive thought.

I know this ain't a spelling bee, and everyone makes mistakes, but for the love of god, a spellcheck button is right below where you write your post! Oh ya, and if you have no clue what a word means you got 2 choices, look it up, or don't use it!

Some people complain that people are picking on them because of how they write, well, if you write like an idiot, and communicate like an idiot, chances are...YOU"RE AN IDIOT!

There is nothing worse than to see an engaging, entertaining or damn funny post (whether I agree with the opinion or not) followed up by incoherent, nonsensical drivel. It's like someone sh_tting on my cornflakes in the morning!

Sorry folks, had to rant, I just couldn't take it anymore.

Seriously, I think the forum with the worst spelling has got to be the horror forum. I don't go to all of the forums, so there might be one that's worse.

I just don't paid attention to them. But the ppl that whine and ***** all the time.......yup those do get on my nerves.

seriously though, i can see exactly what you mean, and botankus' sig speaks volumes. its one thing to misspell, its another thing to just babble.
and winddancer, i cant ignore then. its like louis black said, when you hear something REALLY stupid, its painful to think about, and impossible to forget.

Bad grammar on message boards is something I've grown used to. Although it still gets on my nerves too.

To complain about other peoples grammar skill on an international message board where many dont have English as their first language is kind of ignorant and disrespectful. At least towards the non english speaking users that do an effort to communicate in a second language.

For those who have English as your natural/first language you should be ashamed about the poor use of your own language. If you are unsure of how a word is spelt use the spell checker. It might not make your grammar and positioning of the words correct, but at least they will be correctly written. Which again might lead to an easier understanding of what you intended to say. Cause if those who share your language have a problem with what the hell you try to say, think what problems foreigners have trying to understand it.

That's true. I see finti is from Norway and Omega is from Denmark and you both are better at speaking and writing English than a lot of Americans I know. I don't know how you guys do it. I studied Italian for a while trying to learn how to speak it and it is so hard to learn a second language, not so much the vocabulary, but especially the grammar aspects.

finti, I thought it was generally accepted that when somebody who's mother tongue is not english posts on this board, certain graces are given. However, I have yet to see a person who's mother tongue is not english post some of the hideous crap that I see posted by some of those who have grown up reading and writing the language spew.

As for the second paragraph of your post, I agree totally.

I agree with Omega. Most non-English people speak English better than those that use English as their primary language. Its sad really.

You misspelled "freaking". "Ain't" isn't a proper word. You wrote "Ya" instead of "Yeah". You put a "YOU"RE" instead of "YOU'RE". And you can say the word "Shitting" without censorship.

Just thought you'd be interested in some of the mistakes you made. 😛

I agree. I mean, yeah, people are going to make small spelling and grammar mistakes from time to time, because no one is perfect. But at LEAST try and make your posts understandable!!! English is my native language and I can't understand some of the posts that are made on this board by English speakers.
