Intelligent communication - I can't take it anymore!

Started by lil bitchiness6 pages

Its what happens, its inevitable - and any other way, it would be just wrong.

And I didnt see that coming, but I indeed disagree with you.

Booo! Hiss!

(more boos and hisses)

How dare you think Stormy isn't beautiful!

*critically raises eyebrow*

I saw an edit.

Anyway, is this thread mostly directed at JM? I guess it looks like she is not actually capable of making up proper sentances but at least she doesnt come out with

''I lyke dat, is it rong'' kinda thing.. im not making an excuse for her, but it could be worse.

Critically raises beautiful eyebrow. Using adjectives improves any sentence, even if that did not technically qualify as a sentence.

I' m not the right person to use these tricks on.

My, aren't we cynical! Not a trick, just a compliment, with free grammatcial advice thrown in!

AM I the first person to point out that the title of this thread "Intelligent communication - I can't take it anymore" is terribly put together? It indicates that the person talking is tired of intelligent communication, exactly the opposite of it's intended meaning.

Tut.

Realistic and an OTF overdose on "compliments", hollow words...

Certainly required post reading. When I saw the title, I thought it was some comment on the GDF not being like the OTF.

Wow, that is worryingly downbeat. Very well, take it as you will, but it was well meant and I really don't see it being worth your rebuke.

I accept it from people who know me better/more than just superficial 😬

You don't need patients as a teacher. They're called students.

BAD JOKE ALERT!

(runs from quality control police)

Hah, hah.

🙄

O.K., I guess any criticism regarding anything that I type from now on has been brought upon myself. However, the title of the thread isn't that bad.

The point of the title of this thread was to make people look at it. If I had titled this thread, "The lack of effort that people put forth regarding their communication skills in this forum sometimes causes me great personal grievance" I am sure you would have surmised exactly what I was getting at, but it seems to lack "snap".

Titles of books, movies, and even threads don't necessarily have to draw a picture of what the subject is about, they just have to draw enough interest so as to draw you in to investigate what is the subject of the title.

Now I waite on the merciless criticism of my grammar that is about to follow. Commence the lynching.

The lack of intelligent communication - I can' t take it anymore! 😉

I pretty much figured out what the thread was about...but Storm's right, "The lack of intelligent communication - I can' t take it anymore!" probably would have been a bit better ✅

LOL

You misspelled "freaking". "Ain't" isn't a proper word. You wrote "Ya" instead of "Yeah". You put a "YOU"RE" instead of "YOU'RE". And you can say the word "Shitting" without censorship.

Just thought you'd be interested in some of the mistakes you made. 😛

There happens to be a distinct difference between the intentional use of slang and illiterate grammar. Slang is acceptable, ignorance is intolerable.

Can someone explain this to me?

It's a play on words of the homonyms "patients" and "patience".

I just thought of something--go to Google and search for "Ms. Nitpicker". She's a grammar goddess and, if she wasn't a retired English teacher and (presumably) ugly, I would be aroused by her grammatical astuteness.
