Alexis smirked. "I understand if you're scared." she teased. Val stepped back in case anything got started.

"Hell yes I'm scared. Have you ever flown to the moon? That's about the equivilant here...Maybe I should be going...Watch a couple playoff tapes from last year. That's the only time they really play..."

Chris stood up and shook Val's hand(many people still do this in small, northern towns), said his plesentries and left.

Mike smiles at Janette. "You're not bad. There are a few of my friends back home that would kill to be able to surf like you, much less look good doing it." he hoped he hadn't gone to far with the compliments, but oh well. She was good, and she was pretty for a younger girl. Mike turned to wait for a new set to roll in.

Alexis smiled. She stopped Chris. "Not uh, You put me threw hell and made me elieve i'm an aweful skater, so you owe me at least one wave."

Janette blushed. "Thanks, But Al's better. At surfing, I mean I don't judge how girls look." she said laughing at how nervous she sounded.

"...Suppose you're right."

Chris stripped down into his boxers.

"I don't feel like going to get changed. I hope this is alright with everyone else!"

Val chuckled. "Okay your choice someone with more experience or less?" she said indicating it was either going to e her or Val helping.

"It depends on how weak your legs really are..."

Chris replied with a smile.

Alexis laughed. "I'll help." she said smirking.

"She's only better if you think she is. You can be just as good. You've thrown up a mental block, telling yourself that you can only be so good. Don't let fear, or anything hold your skill back. You could be awesome, just have a fun time, experament with the wave. And I gave up on comparing girls a long time ago. I figure if all I'm going to do is look, then I should move out of the way and let guys like Val take care of them. As you can tell, I'm a bit shy around most people." Mike stopped, thinking of how stupid she must think he was. "But you are pretty." He spots a wave and catches a nice 10 footer and cuts left, getting air off the crest, and then lands back on the wave, riding the pipe a while before bailing out.

Densel walks over to the sea's edge, idly watching the surfers.
Wish I could surf, he thought

Janette waited for him to come back. "Val's not like that. You notice he's single. and thank you for the compliment." she says before going back out on a wave.

"I never said he wasn't single, or a bad guy. Actually, i think me and him could get along really well. All the girls flock to him though, so thats what i meant. I'll let him occupy them," says Mike, once shes back.

Janette laughs. "You don't seem like a cheerleader type. Mind telling me what your type is?" she says smiling mischeviously.

Laughs. "What do you mean? I'm just the funky looking mate in the corner that surfs and skates. Not sure if thats a type."

"I mean your type of girl." she said. "Every guy has one well unless they're you know?"

Laughs again. "Oh, ok, i see. And you're right, no cheer leaders for me. And i'm not, yeah, no, don't ride that way." Thinks for a minute. "I don't really know. A girl that can do this everyday, and have fun, and cheat death with me, but a lover at the same time. Really cute, but down to earth. I don't know. Maybe my Aussi way of thinking is kinda strange."

"Lets go then! One thing...Can we stay in the shallow end of this big pool?"

Alexis laughed. "Okay, and sure. One last question same board as me or different?"

Janette laughs. "You know all girls love Aussi's. It's a known fact." after realizing what she implied she blushed.

Chris grinned, "Same."

Val chuckled. "better hold on." he told Chris as Alexis lead him into the sea. She stopped. "YOu know how to swim right?" she said as they approached the smaller waves.
