Rock is a metaphor for the meso americans to describe the unfathomable and unknown b4 creation.
you can interchange it with words like eternity, infinity, creation. etc etc.. and it would be the same.
beginning:
Where there was neither heaven nor earth sounded the first word of God. And he unloosen himself from the Rock that was creation and declared his divinity "I Am!!"
And all the vastness of eternity shuddered..
And his word was a measure of grace And He broke the BackBone of the Mountains.................
side note its one of my favorite interpretation of Creation, All my native brothers and sisters should read this myth they may like it..

Who created this belief?
There has to be some point in history where there was no such thing as creation or time passing as there had been no beginning. God is the origin of awareness and defies all scientific logic being the originator of all the power behind science itself. God had no creator for he is the first "I Am". "I am alone" is not as good as "I am loved" so here we are.

What took place before humans? The universe is 13.5 billion years old, and human have not been around that long. Therefore there was a time in the past when there was no logic or awareness, sense logic or awareness are human traits.

The fact that things existed before humans is pretty obvious but the age of the universe is truly unknown. It would take a human to play god and act as if it can be dated.
If the universe was 13.5 billion years old then what was there 13.5 trillion years before that? I guess a scientist born 70 years ago may give you an explanation that would have you stating more "facts" that are absolutely impossible to prove.
Awareness is not a trait that is only displayed in humans and I see no reason to believe that the universe that was created before us was put in order by a power that was unaware. That's illogical considering the complexity of the atoms that the billions of galaxies consist of. Where did all this matter come from? Scientifically speaking there's really no reason for it to have existed 750 trillion years ago and it should have remained that way indefinitely. God created the universe first and us next and the dates are truly a moot point.

I simply do not believe in a creation. Before 13.5 billion years ago there was no time as we know it.

I recently met a man who didn't believe in dinosaurs and I was surprised by that. I didn't think there was any point in getting to the bottom of why he believed that, despite all the bones available for analysis.
I do wonder though why the concept of creation is so farfetched to some people, when considering the complexity of some of the things humans have created compared to the complexity of the universe that existed before humans.
Despite the complexity of the tangible, it's the non tangible things that make life worth living, for without love and joy evolution could proceed but that's not the reason behind existence....emotions seperate us from the non living things that are the foundation of existence.
These non-tangible things have an origin and I don't see why anyone would have a hard time believing that they originate from a source that was aware of how they were merging the tangible with the untangible.
To me there is more evidence of a powerful creator than evidence otherwise. 😮💨

It can't be either of those. There was no time for that instant to happen in. If there was no time then there was no time for him to do anything before time began so he couldn't have been the one to do it.
