Sense of Humour

If I am hyper then I laugh over everything that is not even that silly.Or if I hear a joke from my boyfriend or see something funny on tv or in a movie.
I have a pretty good sense of humour!I am told by my friends and family and boyfriend.And I am proud of it!JM

Gross humor, regular humor. You name it basically, except that show on Comedy Central with the damn rednecks, and more then 3 racist jokes in a comic routine is to much for me.

What the hell do you want for it? A medal? Anybody at work could call me that, but we don't talk like that to eachother because it's ridiculous, and none of us are racist, or we leave it out of the work place.

No, the only thing I've missed of dave Chappelle was his newest stand-up on HBO, I've seen every episode of Chappelle's Show. And yes, I just didn't think you meant Chappelle's Show.

Racist jokes are funny... to an extent.

Certain Racist jokes are funny and like you said only to an extent. Same with Gay jokes and religious jokes. When it comes to humor there are no barriers.

Not really.

I mean, Fight Club was funny. So was Donnie Darko at points.

But, funny to me is also Animaniacs, Bugs Bunny, South Park (sometimes), Family Guy, Airplane, Hot Shots, Robin Hood: Men in Tights...

Some of them are.

We are not stepping backwards... we are trying to not be too uptight about hearing ethnic/racial jokes.

I dont cry and threaten to sue when I hear French jokes.

As I said certain racial and gay jokes are funny. And like SG said is not a step backwards. I see them as jokes not slurs.

There is a difference between telling a joke and insulting somebody. It is a fine line, but one exists. 😉

Comedians use racist and stereotype jokes all the time. I don't see what's so new? Def Comedy Jam rings a bell?

Actually Im going to disagree complitely.

Racist jokes are not funny - they are a perfect reflection of one 'race' apperant supiriority over another. Thats how they work - same goes for gay jokes or any other discriminative types that are so called humour.
