This post here should end the debate. Many people are mistaken on the physics (or common sense) of cyclops blast. Normal vision acts like a flashlight (going up, right, left , etc. to a large angle) Where cyclops beam is thin and not as wide (for the most powerful one). That is like aiming a 1ft. wide 6in. thick gun at spider-man. You wouldn't be able to hit him. Ever play a shooting video game? In the game you can see the enemy but your weapon cannot cover the entire screen like your vision can. This is the same with cyclops. Spider-man with his spider sense has dodged lighting, lasers, bullets, etc. There is no way I see cyclops hitting spider-man with his beam (even if he can see him as I explained earlier)
I definatly know that around 95% of the time Cyclops holds back, his optic blasts so far limitless in concussive force....
to all those wolvey fans, if wolvey can "apparently" take down Spiderman.... then Cyclops will have no problem. what. so. ever. Wolverine has nothing on Cyclops therefore Spiderman has nothing on Cyclops.
but in all honesty, Cyclops would easily wipe the floor with Spidey... for example... scott will keep spidey at a distance, trying for a lucky shot... Spidey evades most of the time due to spidey sense... Spidey can only get a hit in by approaching Scott... Spidey rebounds off a wall and comes at scott at an angle.... Most likey in mid-air, because thats where he is fastest propelling himself
Scott looks at spidey.... and its over, Spideys down for the count....

Leaps up and over on of the beams, fires a web ball at Cyclops' visor and jams the button while the visor is shut, while webbing it to Scotts face.
Cyke is left without any protection from webbing, and you'd be surprised how hard it is to fight back with martial arts training when you're tied up.

If bloodlust is on cyke...if not spidey. If BL is on scott would just take off his visor and look at Spiderman...if he dodges....casualy follow him around...or spin in circles......spidersence and Uber agility or not is damn hard to dodge someone looking at you. and I have never seen scottie get tired from his optic beams....because they are always on...otherwize he'd be exhasted continiously.

the list of 2nd and third raters go on and on...i dont deny for one minute that he's incredibly speedy but be that as it may he cannot move faster than scott can turn his head left-right, up-down. and since the beam coming from his eyes are moving at the speed of light, i dont see how he can live. maybe he'll ddoge the first couple of shots but sooner or later he gets blasted.
plus if anyone remembers scott has a control mechanism for his visor in his gloves so he doesnt have to press the button at the sides so if spidey fires web in his face it wouldnt be a factor, not only bcuz it would get zapped off quicker than it got thier but bcuz his eyes would be procted under the visor anyway so its not like he would have to squint.
somebody said earlier that if spidey gets hit with a full blast he wouldnt be hurt much. R U shittin me? this is a guy who repeatedly has blown holes thru buildings,sent cars flying, and ripped thru super dense super durable Sentinels like a hot fork thru flap jacks, and at full power can blow thru mountains if he felt like it. and spidey isnt gonna be hurt much?
lets also not forget that He has an uncanny ability to compute trigonometric relations, which allows him to bounce his optic blasts with incredible accuracy. so spidey's agilty would only get him so far b4 he gets introduced to his insides that are laying next to him on the pavement
