I fail to see the impressive part. It's just a fact that Spider-Man can jump higher and further than that beam, like I said, with ease. And his superhuman reflexes and his spider-sense will them him he has to get the **** out of there if he doesn't want a burnt ass.
the beam is too fast imo, and i still seriously doubt spidey can vertically jump that high...

According to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Spider-Man 2004. Thirty feet.
[/b]How did you measure it? With a imaginary yard stick? [/B]
Originally posted by who?-kidThis proves only the lack of accuracy of those kind of sources. Not my fault they make him jump over high buildings in the comics.
I used the same imaginary yard stick as you did when telling us how big Scotts beam was. [/B]
can you post pics pls?
and there is no need for that kind of comment from either of you... this was a good natured discussion so far...
as far as scotts beam... it is cylindrical, not flat... pretty logical considering the shape of his eyes...
The sources seem pretty accurate. I think it's just writing inconsistancies. Like when Storm created a gravity well ( 🤨 ) when the Handbook says shes not capable of such an action.
The robot was averaging at least twenty feet high. The beam looked a heck lot larger. Scott and the others looked like ants in that blast.

Scotts beam becoming all of a sudden this gigantic, larger and wider than Sentinel thing is more an artist impression, and is not his real power.
And even if it were, why is everybody focused on Spider-Man jumping over a Sentinel ? He can jump much further to the left or to the right, and Scotts blast isn't big enough to cover the whole area.

Fair enough... But !!Scotts beam becoming all of a sudden this gigantic, larger and wider than Sentinel thing is more an artist impression, and is not his real power.

u saw his blast that hit onsluaght? while it was of a different shape it was not much smaller...
but think about cyclops for a second, his entire eye is the portal from which the beams eminate, consider the shape of his eye and his range of vision... i dont think its a stretch to be as big as it is...

The Beams of Cyclops is not just an artist impression. This is really simple if Cyclops beams is small then why did he hit the sentinel from the top to the bottom. If all of you are reading comic books his blast can get bigger and bigger and stronger when he removes his visor because the energy that is coming from his eyes is from a dimension of Energy.
REally? Wow. A dimension of Energy... cool...
And Who?, we already had the discussion of 'spidey can dodge Scott's godbeam. Even if he does dodge it, he's comin' down again, and that beam is waitn' baby!! Also, if Spidey jumps up out of the way, Scott just cocks his head back. Spidey must be moving fast to go that high, but not that fast.
thats what ive been saying the whole freaking time. the only way spidy can move faster than scott can move his head is if he's right up in his grill, and we all know whats gonna happen if het gets that close. and if he's out there in the open skipping around like a ground ball there isnt anywhere he can go that the beam cant follow so its a total lose, lose for spidy.
(ding ding ding) another abstract reference approaching.
you know like when you play that marvel vs capcom game? or any fighting game for that matter. whats the basic formula? jump in the air, high kick, then sweep when you land, and if youre using say...Iron Man and someody's doing that to you boom! unibeam on that ass and what do they do....jump back, then what. they cant sustain enuff hang time to avoid the beam.
remember like i stated previously, he has the ability to compute trigonometric relations, which allows him to bounce or aim his optic blasts with incredible accuracy. he would basically playing optic billiards with peter out there

Spider-Man isn't Flash, or even Quicksilver, but when he wants, he can move so fast it's impossible for Scott to follow his moves.
Add this with the superhuman reflexes, superior agility and his loyal spider-sense, and we have a very good reason why Scott can not hit Spider-Man.
Besides, X-Factor (with Cyclops) once fought Spider-Man, who was sick, confused and holding back, and still he was kicking ass. The fight ended because he fainted (because Rhino gave SM a serious beating the other day - Spider-Man returned the favor however lol, and knocked him senseless).
Dude. Rhino had just stomped him. RHINO. Is he better than the factor? So what makes Spidey so great? They just pumped him up a bunch so he'd look good. And I think that you are forgeting a very important factor: The beam isn't all Cyke is gonna do. He's not standing there shooting is he? Of course not. He's gonna run, he's gonna throw some punches. He's not as strong or fast or agile, of course!! But he has fought guys stronger/faster/agile. And he won. Nightcrawler...
We have reviewed and re-reviewed Spidey's abilities, but we've really only looked at one aspect of Scott's capabilities. Am I the only one who noticed?? Funny.
