yeah, no religion, no politcs, rules are very clear on this

I belive racsim will be back because alot of people are feeling scared of other people like Muslims since 9/11.
I have a feeling that people will put all muslims into one catogory.

well ppl are dumb and ignorant, the gouverment should spend more time and money on educating ppl

Affirmative action is institutionalized racism. People are chosen for a task because of their color not their merit. So yes racism still exist.

racism never went away in the first place... maybe suppressed to some degree, but it's worse now than it is then, with the world wide web and all... personally i don't get it... how can you hate, discriminate, oppress somebody, anybody just because they have a different skin color than theirs... and religion too... it's the same f@#$% concept... one true god, any way the interpretation goes is an undeniable human right... 9/11 is a major government f@#$ up, it has nothing to do with Islam, it just happens that those a$$h*les that piloted the planes were, plus they were extremists anyways... i don't think all muslims will go to such extremes...

Well, racism is a fairly new “idea” as far as I read history. Slavery in ancient Rome wasn’t based on your skin-colour, but whether or not your country had been invaded by the roman legions or not. And anti-Semitism was rooted more in culture, than an actual race (seeing as Jews and Arabs are all Semites).
What I find peculiar is reading through this thread, and finding SO many people, who claim racism is human nature:

Ignorance is the source of most racism as far as I can tell. And leaders of the world have ab(used) racism – Hitler using anti-Semitism is an example – to gain power and take peoples attention off more urging matters.

Now it's the Arab's turn - their nations sits on the worlds biggest oil-deposits.

Here in DK the extreme right-wing part (which is the third biggest I’m ashamed to admit) is shrieking against the refugees and immigrants from Arab nations. I’m wondering why this party thinks the Danish culture is so weak, it can be threatened by a scarf and a mosque…

Lil Bitchiness is right. ALL humans share the same DNA-building blocks, we're not different races - that word is from the past millenia and then some...

Exactly. Most muslims are very moral people, much more so than the "christian" Bush or any of the @ssholes in his administration. The guys who attacked the wtc and the pentagon were MAJOR extremists.

I don't know if anybody remembers but there used to be a show called "politically incorrect". I think it was on ABC.. But in any case, ABC kicked it off the air because the host said, quite truthfully, that terrorists are not cowards. Does that make you sick or what? I can't believe that even the major "news" channels are willing to bow to the governments wishes and promote "political correctness". Just one more reason why I should move to Canada.

Well Soth for starters it aint races, secondly ppl will always find something to descriminate. The fact that racisme has become a very big issue isn't bad I think, there should be time spend on it a lot of time... ppl should know their own past

There's racism and there's racism. Hurting in any way because someone is different than you. Then you have this sort of normal thing that everyone has. You see someone coming up that acts as you would define "funny" or dresses or whatever and you won't hurt them but you check them for a while.

I thought threads like this weren't allowed due to the fact its about RACISM, a very sensitive subject that has the potential to cause friction between members?

whoever thinks that racism isn't a dead issue better open their eyes. there are racists in my school, AND IT IS A CATHOLIC SCHOOL! sickening.....

racism will never end. its immortal in my opinion. dont judge a book by its cover and by this i mean dont think everyone is nice from the outside, inside they might be Satan himself.

and also dont trust people on the internet, they might be nice and say they are like 24 years old, but really is a criminal and is a 45 year old man that is waiting to kill someone
