There is a E3 07 Campaign demo. I wonder if it will be released on Xbox live...*Drool* We will get to play as the MC and Arbiter in co-op. It's a bad time to be a covenant.

In the video there was a significant distance between them before the Chief aimed the pistol at the arbiter. Either the arbiter was too slow to react or he was daydreaming and thinking to himself how awesome the Chief's armor looked in Hi-Def.

Besides they don't call him the demon for nothing. 😎

I believe the Chief would have to kill him first though, and that would be no small task, just look at what he has done in the past, the Chief is good...but the Arbiter is better. He kicked some major Heretic, Brute, and Flood ass!

Or he said earlier that they were in there until the end together until the Flood are taken out and then he believed him after seeing him fight in a few battles and then the Chief being a backstabbing traitor pulled the gun on him.

😂

I hope they don't do what Epic did for Gears and make the Arbiter playable only as co-op, firstly because there would be many problems with that especially if the Arbiter would be there for the whole game with the Chief and also because I would be downright pissed that I wouldn't be able to play as the Arbiter!!! He was my favourite character of Halo 2!

Arbiter is better than Master Chief, MC is a queer.

Please. The Chief being a backstabbing traitor? You truly believe the Chief feels ok teaming up with the very species he fought for years? The ones that consider him a demon and hate him for disrespecting and destroying the sacred Halos?

Besides the Chief has been busting Flood ass before the Arbiter. He destroyed the Halo. Destroyed a Scarab. He killed the prophet Truth eventhough a mini-army was protecting him. Killed his fair share of brutes as well...and not to mention the Chief is the reason the arbiter was punished in the first place.

Arbiter ain't got shit on m1ster ch3F.

Arbiter sucks! J/K

I have no idea how it will turn out...but I am sure bungie will figure out a way to make it work.

Perhaps you could select which character you want to play as in single player. That way the arbiter haters can avoid playing as him and viceversa.

It's true Prime, and you know it. Ganon still pwns them both.

Ganon gets pwned by little boys in leotards. The chef is better.

Well, if he attacks the Arbiter (which he does apparently) then yeah, he can easily be considered a backstabbing traitor, the Arbiter has helped the UNSC and the galaxy and therefore helped the Chief, so the Chief should be licking the Arbiter's size 24 hoof. It was because of the prophets that they even cared about the Halos, now that the prophets have abandoned them, they could care less about the Halos, they would only care about him killing so many of their species, but then again, the Elites killed all the rest of the Spartans.

We have no idea what the Arbiter was doing in Halo: CE, he may have been right in there kicking Flood ass before the Chief even heard about Keyes going missing...again. And by the time the Arbiter learned what the Chief had in mind..."there was nothing [he] could do."

Yeah, I trust Bungie, they know what they are doing, and wouldn't leave out those fans who truly love the Elites. I wouldn't mind having the option to play as either the Arbiter or the Chief, that would be neat. But multiple times, they are shown fighting together, how will they do that? What happens when one dies? You can't go over and revive them like Gears, it will be interesting how it turns out.

Damn straight, although I do like the Chief, he is pretty badass, but the Arbiter is even more so and so much cooler, he actually talks.

Most of the Spartans were killed before they even encountered elites. And to be honest I don't think the Chief is just betraying him. It looks to me like he is just giving him a warning. Something like "Try anything funny and you'll get your brains busted throughout the forest."

The guy was the Supreme Commander of the Fleet. I am sure he would not be wasting his time on the ground when he had an entire fleet to command & order.

All I can say is...lets trust Bungie. So far they have proven they know what they are doing.

But the Elites had quite a part in the extermination of them, so the Chief would probably be annoyed at that. It could also be their first meeting and the Arbiter walks in with Johnson and Miranda and the Chief assumes the worst.

They are a very proud race, he didn't get his rank by kissing ass, more so kicking it, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did take some time to fight.

That is what I have been doing, I know they will make it work out.

I know Arbiter killed his way to the top of the Covenant Elite(hot)...but IMO given his rank it is much more plausible for him to be in a ship overseeing everything. If he actually went commando and did gorilla combat he deserved getting the Halo and his armada getting wiped out of existence IMO.

Edit: Did you notice the Halo around the equator line on earth? *Theories running rampant*

Chief is cool, I partially posted that to make Superboy crap in his Master Chief underwear, but I do believe the Arbiter to be a better character, and, dare I say it, more badass.

I don't see how. let's compare feats now.

Master Chief-

has killed over a thousand Covanent soldiers, this is before Halo 1 even starts.

has literally ridden a bomb through space into a Covanent Destroyer, effectively destroying one of the Covanent's most powerful type of ships.

Actually has a nickname and put fear into an army of billion, they call him "The Demon".

Stormed the Covanent's own home planet/base thingy.

Used his hand to swat a missile away.

Arbiter has-

survived a slew of flood

killed Tarterus, though he wouldn't have been able to do it without Sargent Johnson's sniper rifle.

Been punked and stripped of his title due to the Master Chief and Cortana.

Was publicly humiliated, naked, in front of a crowd 😐

It is obvious who is the badass here. Samus is.

Arbiter may have very well killed more people than MC has. A large part of the ranking system for Elites is kills, Arbiter had a very high rank and controlled his own fleet, which also implies he is probably at least a competant tactician. MC couldn't kill Tartarus either without someone with a beam rifle helping(I still don't understand why the hell mine wouldn't work).

He could very well, or he might not. he might have just been a good tactition, much like Keyes was, you don't have to be good killer to get a good rank in the Navy. And I agree with the Tarterus thing, but that still doesn't help the fact that Arbiter still has no feats comparable to the Chiefs.

Kill rate did affect his rank, that's a large part of how they get promoted.
