The scooper tells us that Blade 4 is in the works, that Wesley Snipes is on board, but Goyer is passing.

Even though Blade 3 hasn’t lived up to the numbers of the previous films part 4 is well underway. Wesley Snipes was signed for this movie when he signed the contract for Trinity but it looks more and more like Goyer will not be returning as he has said to have had enough and is thankful for what the series has done for him.

Some pretty cool stuff going on over at New Line. I am stoked to hear that we might see a Blade 4, even though I have not seen Blade 3. So enjoy the "insider" rumors, and as soon as we hear anything official we will let you know! Kudos to Bloody Disgusting for checking this out for fans and announcing their own findings!

Well it looks like perhaps New Line has learned their lesson where Blade is concerned… namely that the Blade franchise is all about Blade, not hot, young sidekicks however well acted and funny they may be. David Goyer of course doesn’t agree, so according to a rumor being run by the folks at MoviesOnline.ca, he’s out the door for a proposed Blade 4.

Yep, word is that despite word to the contrary a few months back and lackluster reception for Blade Trinity, Blade 4 is happening. According to their scooper, Snipes was already signed for another movie after Trinity, so if they are right and plans for the fourth film do go ahead, he’s probably a lock… unless he finally completely loses his mind and leaves the country or goes on a crazed killing spree. With Wesley you never know.

This is great news if true, I hated seeing Blade’s last cinematic outing be a mediocre movie where he’s minimized to a supporting character in his own film. Hopefully this also means New Line is scraping Goyer’s silly idea for a spinoff featuring Hannibal King and Whistler II as a way to avoid having to work with Snipes again.

Of course this is all still rumor, so keep checking back here till we pop up with some confirmation. That was a tease to keep you coming back even though I know as well as you do there probably will be none any time soon. Hey, click some banners too!

Blade 4

Well kiddies, my utter contempt for the mess known as Blade Trinity has been well documented on the pages of The Movie Blog recently. However, I must admit that this little bit of news about a possible Blade 4 has me interested. They really do need another one to make up for part trinity (Stupid title). Anyway, the good folks over at Cinema Blend give us this:

Well it looks like perhaps New Line has learned their lesson where Blade is concerned… namely that the Blade franchise is all about Blade, not hot, young sidekicks however well acted and funny they may be. They go one to suggest that Goyer's main motive for wanting to build a new Nightstalkers franchise was just to avoid working with Snipes again... that's a rumour that's been floating around a long time... apparently the two of the just detest one another.

I'd be up for seeing another Blade film that's actually about Blade. Get rid of Goyer, bring in some new blood, make the Vampires respectable again, get a solid plot and you could still have a franchise that is alive and well. We'll see how this pans out.

as long as its a blade movie, and not about that biel woman, then it could be great...

i'm glad goyer is gone...

Prophet....thanks for all the effort you put into making these types of threads and thanks for keepin them up to date. I don't post in them a lot, but I read them all.

Blade 4 sounds bad ass...I kind of wish they didn't have to change his outfit every single movie like in the Batman movies...he looked good from the start.

I haven't seen Trinity yet, and I probably won't see it until DVD, but from what I hear...the supporting cast kills the movie.

Thank you, I'm glad that you and others appreciate all the news and updates I have provided so far.

Blade 4 sounds great, I'm glad they are not throwing this franchise away because of unfortunate results in the box office from the bad release date that was set for Blade 3.

I enjoyed the film, didn't have any major problems with it, but if I were you I would just go watch it anyways and that way find out for yourself whether or not its bad or good.

Yea it had a bad releae date and all. But the idea of the nightstalkers was real cool but the way they went around it ruined the movie.

Yeah, but you have to admit that regardless of what "mistakes" it might have had, the release date really cut it back at least an easy 10 million dollars. When your dealing with a franchise like this 10 million is very crucial.

yea blade 4 may be interesting

yes it may be interesting with some new blood writing and directing but be carefull it could trun into something like Daredevil. Or how bout how batman 3 and 4? Lets hope they make a good choice in who will be the director and writer of 4.
As for snipes i am sorry but he is just not into the act latley if you watch the movie. His act is starting to get really stale. I hope he gets that energy back for 4 if he is back on board. He is starting to make Blade a paper cut out character, very boring. I thought the two added characters was a much needed breath of fresh air though overall i didn't like 3 all that much.

Yeah me too.

I think Ronny Yu would be a good choice as the director of Blade 4.

He has directed films like Bride Of Chucky and Freddy Vs Jason

moving to brand new 'Blade' forum...

yeah! 😊

blade trinity was horrible.....the first 2 were good...espicially the first one...that movie was just awesome but as soon as i saw triple h in the 3rd one i know i was it was going to suck.....there were so many scenes that should have been edited and so many unnecesarry lines...the only good thing was ryan renolds comedic timing and that only happend so often

Well I actually enjoyed the film, but to each his own.

I too enjoyed Blade 3, i hope the rumours are true that a Blade 4 is in the works! But were dose Blade go from here? What kind of danger could he face? And now that Whistler is dead, who will be there to help Blade? And is there still a place for the nightstalkers?

Great choice. Blade would then be sticking his OTHER foot in the grave, there.

Blade has become such a tragedy.

Hey, if Blade gets a good directer, and story then it can become great agian!
