tormented by what thought? i have used my mind. i was born and raised a mulsim. a practicing believer. and it was only later in my life that i figured out the hypocricy and evil behind the ideology. perhaps it is you that needs to seek the truth.

i respect you as a person. but not your relegion.seeing as it isnt your point of view at all but an imposed dogma upon you. ofcourse if you wanna discuss im open and ill try to differentiate between you as a person and your relegion, cause there is always a negetive tendency for things to turn into indirect insults.

Sure when you think of yourself as a respectful person others will respect you as you do.

but i probably shall continue to do so. it isnt a judgements onto you but a judgements on the dogma followed by you. many people are brainwashed and suffer needlessly due to it. many people commit horrible crimes in its name and using it as justification. it supresses many goodness in man's nature and brings out much ugliness. still i dont associate all those things to YOU. you are what you do, and your intentions matter a lot. however, many a times when relegion takes over the life of a follower, its hard to seperate the follower and the relegion. and be at ease, i dont have any favourable views of christianity, judaism, hinduism etc either. buddhism is perhaps the only largely followed relegion that i dont COMPLETELY find wrong/bad ot watever.

Just because people do horrible things in the name of religion does not make that religion wrong.

If I burned down orphanages and said I was doing it in the name of femenism, would you condemn feminism?

Why is this a good time to believe in god? Maybe centuries ago when our brains were still unmatured, but these days we have no excuse for believing in such foolishness. At least, not believing it because of the lack of evidence. I think any atheist or skeptic would denounce the absolute certainty in there being no god.

You can believe the theory of evolution and still believe in god...however if that person studied abiogenesis I'm sure they would come around.

I agree people don't have to denounce evolution to believe in God. I don't really see any reason they supposedly contradict one another.

That being said, I disagree with the idea that it is illogical to believe in God. Many brilliant people are debating it now. It's still one of the most debated topics around.

I don't consider atheists idiots or fools or "infantile." We simply disagree on a very debatable topic. Have a little respect for those who disagree with you.
