* That is merely your personal oppinion saying, "it's running the risk of being Arnie-less, thus less profitable" or saying, "the franchise is in a slump." It is not actual fact so it shouldn't have a determining affect on Raz's ultimate choice.

* I suppose we will have to wait and see what the results of your "experiment" are then.

You missed the point I was trying to prove when I mentioned the time table of the franchise. It's currently inactive, is it not? Again, why have a dead franchise featured on the main index?

As for my comments, I never claimed them to be anything BUT opinions. That said, it is indeed Raz's decision that counts. I admire your tenacity, and that's why I'm offering to help.

It depends what you mean by "inactive" if you mean that there are no films currently in production then you seem to be mistaken. If there is still another film in production, how is it a dead franchise??

Last I ever heard was back in FEBRUARY of 2004 that a screenplay would be ready in October, and here it is January 1st with no cast, no sign of a screenplay, no script, nothing.

My point is that there's no reason for Terminator to get top billing NOW while it's in stasis. It won't effect me either way, but I'm letting you guys know, I don't see a reason for it to get preferrential treatment over so many other movies that could be there just as easily.

Last I heard I was only 4 months ago in late SEPTEMBER, with a screenplay essentially COMPLETE.

"Terminator 4" Moving Forward

Empire Online reports that the forces of Skynet will be back for a fourth attempt to squash humanity, with shooting on "Terminator 4" scheduled to begin in 2005.

Discussions are apparently ongoing with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger - and we may yet see him return to cause more mechanical mayhem. But, if he signs on at all, Arnold's role will likely be a small one, leaving the fourth instalment to break in an entirely new model of Terminator.

The script for T4 is essentially complete thanks to the screenwriters behind T3, and director Jonathan Mostow has cleared a space in his calendar to direct the film after completing work on his next project. Claire Danes and Nick Stahl are a little less certain though, as neither of them have signed on for another film.

Thanks to 'Jeff'.

There you go. Dark Horizons are notorious for falsifying information, as are Bloody Disgusting. They are virtually the National Enquirer's of cinema.

Anywho, IF a "Terminator 4" even happens, it won't be for another 2 years, and I don't see even an explosion in support of the franchise giving it a big enough push to merit main forum status.

Guess we'll see.

TFP... the fact that a screenplay is complete is nice but irrelevant I'm afraid, it doesn't mean that the franchise is suddenly popular again 😖

* I was speaking to Cinemaddiction.

* If you were clearly reading the posts then you would know that I posted this information only to show that there was still news and information being developed much after February 2004.

Well if Dark Horizons falsified this information on the status of Terminator 4 then I suppose ALL of these sites must have also falsified the information??

It will be perfectly normal if the film is not released for another 2-3 years which would be similar to any other franchise, ex. Spider-Man, Matrix, etc. The rest of what you said is merely your personal oppinion.

personal opinions are irrelevant 🤺 it all comes down to post count

first of all, matrix is dead and its still there. the lord of the rings has maybe the hobbit, thats it. james bond (unfortunately) is at its lowest point since its inception. i am a huge matrix/james bond/lotr fan, but even i can see they're fading. talking about fading franchises is bullshit.

thing that really gets me though, terminator is listed in the miscellaneous section with tarantino. wtf is that all about? what, so they're not even movies anymore?

Dave, if that was really true, then there are some forums that would be on the homepage...

then CA's opinions must carry weight, too

great, that's all we need...

just for the record, I don't care 😊 do what you want with the forum, it won't bother me 😛

i wasn't being smart, i was just saying that cine is the last person who seems to want to help the terminator forum

well, good luck with the forum thingy 😄

thank you

Would it really take soooooooooo much effort to just move the damn forum. If moving it truly brings about no result it could always be moved back. Geez, your acting as if the location of the forum actually has anything to do with your personal opinion on the franchise.

FACT: A lot of people like these films and may want to discuss them
FACT: There IS going to be T4
MY 2 CENTS: It makes no point to pick and choose the location of a forum based soley on the mods opinion of the context in that forum. There is a posibility to have an active forum even though you say "the demand isn't there." Not enough users know that it even exists; and that is that. It really wont kill anybod to just give it a move and see what happens. And if it fails you can laugh histerically at something that reallys isnt that funny and wonder why you ever kicked up such a fuss about moving it in the first place.

Where's that smilie of the head banging against the wall when you need it. Christ.

Dude. You cited Dark Horizons like they have credibility, and that was a mistake. The websites you shared all share the same information. That's how movie tabloid sites work. See the common thread in their reports? The word RUMOUR. NOTHING is certain.

On top of that, AGAIN, you're missing the point in the time lapse. I KNOW THAT IT'S COMMON FOR THERE TO BE A COUPLE OF YEARS BETWEEN MOVIES! What *I* am getting at is that UNTIL that movie is out in theatres, I don't think it belongs on the front page! I've never claimed it to be anything other than my opnion. Ever. There's just nothing extraordinary about the franchise, as we speak. You're determined to get it there, and with what to back it? Opinions? 3 or 4 peoples fanfare? Good luck, seriously.

"The Matrix" is dying out. Check the posts, their active dates, etc. I'm moving to have it phased out, eventually.

LOTR, again, with the EE trilogy finally being released has a fanbase now that could rival "Star Wars". Don't expect it to go anywhere.

"Terminator" is an oddball franchise. Atleast it has a devoted section! Where's the "Alien" forum? The "Jaws" forum? See what I am saying. It's a movie that's important enough to have its own forum, but not "hot" enough to get top billing. Like I said, I'm sure it well get a place in the Sci Fi forum, once it's created.

I've pledged my support. I'm a big "Terminator" fan, but I don't think it belongs in the Franchises page. It's better suited for the Sci Fi forums. The franchise is in limbo, stasis, whatever. Be patient. You waited 12 years for a sequel, you can wait a few months for the forum it deserves.

CA I am done trying to convince you that the film is in fact in production and further into developemnt than you may think. No matter how much information I supply you with, you are still going to to believe its all false. If you don't want to believe that Terminator 4 is in production then don't, that is just your little problem.

"UNTIL that movie is out in theatres, I don't think it belongs on the front page!" I am sorry you THINK that, but many other people do not agree with you, including me. "and with what to back it? Opinions? 3 or 4 peoples fanfare?" If you LOOK through all the posts in this thread you will see that there is alot more than 3 or 4 people that agree with me. Also next time can you please resort to some less offensive words?
