I loathe "Elephant". Evert pretentious, stereotypical, clueless second of it.

My reasons are in the "Elephant" thread in the MDF, by the way. Movies where kids can get guns over the internet, and sign for them from a courier.

Real credible. 👆

No less credible then them buying their shit at the local Big Five and Walmart, which happens in real life.

It's besides the point. Find me a Wal Mart that sells TEC-9's (not that they evern carry anything other than hunting rifles, and you have to have a license) to 16 year olds. Seriously.

I already shared my points in the thread, most of which you agreed with, which were major flaws in making the movie watchable.

Yeah, I just disagreed with you're statement that it's cliched. If there's one thing that movie isn't, it's cliched.

Fact is, the kids in real life get their weapons from retail stores like Big 5, they got the ammo from walmart.

I liked Elephant, its definetly prententious, but sometimes theres nothing wrong with a little pretention.

Its part of a trilogy is it not, along with Jerry and Last Days.

Some "death" trilogy. "Last Days" was horrible as well, IMO. Boring to watch, too.

Yeah, I enjoyed the whole trilogy, even adored Last Days(I can watch immensely slow things or films where nothing much happens without getting bored). I can't remember the name of it, but I have watched about half an hour of a film where all it contains is a camera moving very VERY slowly towards a window. If I can bear half an hour of that, things like Last Days are simple.

People shouldn't make movies by interpretation alone. It's not fair, frankly. "Last Days" especially. Here's a movie that shows a bunch of freeloaders..well..freeloading, then..oh yeah, it's about Kurt Cobain, so here's a greenhouse with a dead body. 🙄

Watched:

Bubble (Good stuff..)
Pulse (More of the same old stuff..)
Just Like Heaven (Very fun)
Audition (Still just as boring..)
North Country (Very powerful..)

With all these pressures it's no wonder their personal life is suffering. Will there ever be any good news? CLASSIC

In 1960s London Jimmy, loathing his dead-end job and dead-end parents, lives for his scooter and his Mod mates. August Bank Holiday in Brighton looks like it will be great, with a chance to see his Vespa-riding hero Ace, do battle with the Rockers, and maybe get lucky with Steph. Sadly, after the weekend, reality and disppointments crowd in all the more. CLASSIC

"MPAA: Rated R for strong language and sexual content."

Is it that? How bad is it 😬

Nah, it's a movie about some guys midlife crisis. It's just an adult movie in that regard.
