Why must everyone critize christians for there faith

I never understoo this notion of religious generalisation. I find it rather disturbing.

I also do not understand how can people hate something they dont believe in. Such notion is irrational - thats like me hating leprachons.

People who have such dramatic dislike to something they claim dont believe in, must identify with it in some way. Whats not part of us does not bother us.

I don't hate Christianity, Islam or Judaism, because i simply do not believe in those ideologies. I do not agree with the voilence and discrimination they all preach in their books.

Why do people bash Christians? Like WD already mentioned - because they can. Freedom of speach, and because it is not politically inccorect or wrong.

If someone comes into a thread and says something like ''christians are such and such'' 10 other people will come in and agree with it. However, if someone says ''Muslims are such and such'' 20 people were come into the thread and bash that person, calling him/her prejudice and saying how they are even worse as Christians.

I am frankly very sick of the hypocrasy and prejudice - if you are gonna have a problem with religion, treat every religion of the same nature and laws the same.

I am a Buddhist, but I would be quite happy living in the biggest Christian country in the world, because it so happens that it has very ritch culture i would love to be part of.
And for those who keep ranting on about how America is the biggest Christian nation in the world, its not.
Brazil is the largest Christian country in the world.
Yes, lets all generalise - im sure all Brazilians are homophobic, prejudice, and are bombing Iraq.

I live with a devoted Christian and a Jew and to be honest any kind of such prejudice i have not encountared from them, or their friends or even their parents.

Why do people bash Christians? Because its socially acceptable to do so.

Hate is like a magnet; it will draw you to the object of hate. Hate is like taking poison to kill someone else. The only person who gets sick from the hate is the hater. This leads to the hater sticking out at the object of hate. Hate should be avoided at all cost; it is a path that only leads to suffering.

i dislike the christian religion due to the fact its hypocritical. jesus said thou shalt not kill, yet the crusades were supposedly performed on the word of god. The witch burnings were wrong as well.
In the rennaissance period, people were killed if they they dissagreed with the church.

I think people think that what we call god is some type of person....it's not....it's much bigger...more than we can conceive of....something that we are part of ourselves....we are energy, so we are infinite parts of a whole...

It is something bigger but God is a something that can not be defined and when we kick the bucket we will go back to the energy source as you want it and become whole again and be happy forever or if we be assholes we go to hell because the energy is defective and is a waste.

Why do Christians get so bent out of shape about what non-Christians say? Why would it matter, if someone said, "there is no god"? I can say that there is no sky, and all anyone would do is laugh at me. So, if someone says there is no god, you should just laugh, but you don't. There are a lot of Christians on this forum who would fight someone for putting down god. I find that to be the main reason I don't believe in Christianity. If you are a follower of Jesus, you should follow his teachings.

Christians have become increasingly aggressive when it comes to domestic and foreign policy. They are influencing the bans on gay marriage, gay adoption, stem cell research and their support of the Iraq war (a war that will feel will protect Israel) is absolutely deplorable!

Not all christians are sexist, nor scientifically disproved. If you actually think about it atheists are more of every single one of those things.

1 (preposterously ridiculous). Man came from apes, might aswell came from bananas.

2 (scientifically disproved). Man came from apes 😕 and the earth began in a big bang like a big balloon.

3 (prejudiced). Something easier to believe (everyone grows up with science so it's easy to believe. Science always says the earth is millions of years old unlike christianity)

4 (homophobic). Where'd you get this from?

5 (sexist). Atheists have been sexist before too you know, and some still are.

I only wish Atheists will keep their negative, unfair, anti-social, absurd and hypocritical thoughts to themselves and stop taking the mic of christianity for some of the things which they do themselves.
