PSP vs. DS : Which Will Be Better?

$249 American for the "Value Pack".
What you get is
32 MB Memory stick (which will cost individually 24.99-39.99)
Headphones with remote
battery pack
AC Adapter
soft case and cleaning cloth
UMD disc with game demo movies
music and video sampler
And. the first million buys get SpiderMan 2 UMD.

Comes out on the 24th.
I got this from Gamespot, which also has thier opinions on it. Its basically praising Sony PSP saying its expansive but it will be worth it because of the lack of DS purchesers.
I personally, even if this was a Nintendo product spend over 300 dollers Canadian for an handheld, with extra shit that I dont want. '
Games will also be around 50 bucks.
Its pretty expansive.

And some will some games will be 40.

hehe.. Im more interested in network playability.. so I want to see which system will acommodate that most efficiently

Without draing battery power?
In the handheld history, most handhelds going up against Nintendo have failed because of the battery power and cost. Sony is doing the same thing but also have more finacial background to keep it through. So for the next couple of years, it will be intresting to watch how the PSP goes against techinical inferior products of Nintendo, like the GBA, DS and the new Game Boy which has been rumored to be in the works.

in this gamepro book im reading it says for PSPs battery :
3.6V Lithium Ion battery ( four to five hours of gameplay time or four to six hours of movie time )

in all actuality though, I mean a network with a hefty amount of joinable players and good gameplay

I know, thats what i meant.
4 to 6 hours of gameplay, but if you add network in there, its going to to decrease the battery life. It has to operate the wireless function as well as the game, so its definitly going to decrease thepower.

Maybe. I'm a college freshman. Money is slim. And a PSP isn't a top priority. I'll get it when I have the money and when better games come out. I always wait until the system is a least 6 months old and it already has an extensive library. I have never boughten a system on release. It's bad consumerism to me.

get this ya`ll gamepro just reviewed the import release of MGSacid. they panned it. gave it a 3.5 for fun factor.
