I'd say it's a mixed bag. But ultimately not extremely memorable or interesting. No fun character actors! (Except Kano, of course.)

Still haven't seen it.

I'm guessing it was better than Annihilation (duh) and worse than the original, yes?

Shadow in the Cloud (2020)

While not perfect, I really enjoyed it. Pulp action fun.

LOL, i liked this one, too.
The ending where
Spoiler:
the guys just watch as Moretz goes to kick the gremlin’s ass
was hilarious.

I remember reading up the story for Shadow in the clouds" before watching the trailer

reminded me of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon.

^^^same! 😆

I honestly thought this was about shadow and bone. But still not disappointed

How Stella got her groove back!

Voyagers (2021)

It was entertaining and a good premise, I guess, but I would have preferred some more interesting writing in the third act.

Undergods.

The movie in made up of short stories following the same building and as one scene ends another story begins. I was facilitated by the madness of the universe it was in, its almost like each space had it's own reality and as the characters grew in one scene, they would be evolve into the next space in the building and be part of another reality. Almost like if you are being carried from one alternate universe to another in 5 minutes.

In one scene a guy steals a crazy mans blue prints for an invitation he designed. The inventor steals the crazy mans daughter and holds her for ransom in a building. As the father goes to retrieve his daughter, he walks through a vent and lands in an alternate reality where the world is enslaved by cannibals and poverty. Suddenly he is killed by these two savages and his partner is taken to be enslaved onto another prisoner story.

9/10

About what you'd expect from a whatever of the Dead movie, some cool moments, like the different take on the "intelligent" zombie alpha, a zombie tiger too!

This was a massive letdown.

Easily the worst movie Taylor Sheridan's been involved with.

Hollywood Scuffle 8/10 comedy

A Quiet Place

I plan to watch that too. No thoughts?

Cruella 2021. 9\10

Long movie had to take a few intervals but it was original and it kept my interest. Would I watch it again probably not but it was entertaining.

Glenn Close played a better Cruella. But it's a Disney movie so it's geared for kids.

JEXI

Soooo stupid. I rather enjoyed it!

Nomadland on Disney Plus.

It was good, and made me more curious how this director will translate her style to a cosmic superhero film like Eternals.

I enjoyed the premise, and can't say I hated it. But some of cliched writing kind of ruined it for me. Like her haunted past with the kids killed in the fire was really cheesy. And then assassin guy was apparently a completely inept assassin when the script called for it. But the fire avalanche was fu#king wicked.
