I saw Luca, the new Disney movie. It was pretty good..

Was thinking about watching that with my son/family sometime in the near future.

I can't remember if I mentioned it already or not, but I've been slowly making my way through some of the Transformers movies lately, with my son. It's brainless action and explosions and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it to some extent. And it's something I can watch with my 4-year-old son.

They are some fu#king bonkers movies. Bumblebee was actually semi-decent, probably because it wasn't directed by Michael Bay.

From 3 I think all Transformers movies were trash except Bumblebee wouldnt mind a sequel for that.

Wonder Woman 1984. The first WW movie is still better.

Batman - The Long Halloween Part 1

It was good

AQUAMAN

This movie holds up well to repeat viewings.

I'm just being silly, really. I enjoyed the visuals, but it was difficult to take seriously with the talking underwater and hair floating around and terrible chemistry between Heard and Mamoa... etc. Haha...

But at least there was Willem Dafoe... HE NEEDED A MUCH BIGGER ROLE!! 😠

Luca (2021)

It's a charming little kids movie. I enjoyed it pretty well and my 4-year-old son seemed to enjoy it, too.

So…it lost points for being like what happens in the comics?

But yeah, Dafoe needed more screen time!

I mean, if it was the fu#king Shawshank Redemption of comicbook movies then I'm sure I could look past some silliness, but since it's very clunky and sloppy storytelling it's very distracting and goofy.

So…actually being comics accurate in regards to how the characters interact underwater is silly?

Goofy Dumb Action Comedy, wasn't terrible, didn't put me to sleep.

the st samurai.. still awesome despite not watching for 15 years

This is Leech we're talking about, He hates on most things comic book related that have superheroes.

I am perfectly open to enjoying anything that is well-made. But big made-by-corporate-committee films rarely come out well. Especially in DC land.

And speaking of DC, they should be ashamed of themselves for not following Todd Phillips' advice of doing smaller budget, character-study type films of DC characters. Joker was great, so DC is idiotic not to go in that direction.

Fast 9.

Not only awful but boring As well...

What DC character(s) would you like to see in a smaller budget type movie?
