Watched Infinity War on a whim yesterday night. It really reminded me how shit comic book movies are now.
Aside from the first two Superman/Batman/Spider-man movies, some ahead of their time cartoon series, and a few well cast roles in the schlocky X-men movies, good comics adaptations were few and far between.

I prefer thimgs now as opposed to what we got prior to the MCU upping the game.Aside from the first two Superman/Batman/Spider-man movies, some ahead of their time cartoon series, and a few well cast roles in the schlocky X-men movies, good comics adaptations were few and far between.
I prefer quality, over quantity. The regularity of comic book adaptations is nice, in theory, but the latest crop of MCU movies were so bad. Everything pre-Endgame is a straight up masterpiece in comparison.

The only films i've liked for Phase 4 are Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings & Spider-Man: No Way Home....haven't seen the latest Black Panther film so can't comment on it
as for the other films for phase 4 been mix for me.

I wasn’t really speaking towards the number of movies, but to your point, I cited 6 movies/some cartoons/a few individual characters in my prior post in a time span of 30 years (‘78 Superman-08 MCU) that I really liked.
In the 14 years since the MCU debuted I could easily triple that number in terms of products (movies big two and independent/original, cartoons, TV/streaming shows) that I really like. Whether or not they’ve gone downhill they really opened things up for comics in other media which is awesome.
