The Suicide Squad (2021)
It's even better than I remembered. Was it really only 2021? For some reason it feels WAY longer ago than that. But anyway, it's a brilliant film. So many set-ups and pay-offs. More screenwriters need to use this long-lost technique. I mean, it's really just Screenwriting 101. Now I'm a little tempted to re-watch Peacemaker, too... hm...
Finally watched this start to finish. Over the decades I had seen chunks. Though terribly dated being 80+ years old, it's a very good film.

Thanksgiving (2023)
I broke my vow to stay away from Eli Roth films because of the decent reviews for this. It's definitely good for Eli Roth, but that's not necessarily saying much. It was self-aware and kind of fun in a trashy horror movie kind of way. The opening sequence was worth the price of admission alone. It was hilarious. Some inventive kills and gore. So it's probably his best-made film, which again, isn't saying much. 6-7/10.

The Avengers (2012)
Turned it on for the kids. It's still pretty fun. The only thing that doesn't hold up too great is some of the greenscreen shots and CGI. I confess I skipped some of the dialogue heavy bits in the middle, because I was afraid my kids were bored. It's funny that it feels kind of quaint after all this time... heh.
The incredible tale about the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter; a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist, Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Stars - Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo & Willem Dafoe
It's a weird reimagining of Shelly's Frankenstein and a 'what makes us human' story. Overall it was good and I do recommended.
Had a few dull moments and I didn't care for the overuse of pinhole and fish eye camera angles, I don't mind a couple, but this director does it too much imo. Like Abrams and his stupid lens flare, a flare or two, fine. But when he keeps doing it, I'm all "f*ck you, JJ!"
