After three long years of relentless fighting, the Clone Wars are nearly at an end. The Jedi Council dispatches Obi-Wan Kenobi to bring General Grievous, the deadly leader of the Separatist droid army, to justice. Meanwhile, back on Coruscant, Chancellor Palpatine has grown in power.
His sweeping political changes transform the war-weary Republic into the mighty Galactic Empire. To his closest ally, Anakin Skywalker, he reveals the true nature of power and the promised secrets of the Force in an attempt to lure him to the dark side.

Hiding from the Empire's fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers, the Rebellion takes refuge on the ice planet of Hoth. While out on patrol, Luke Skywalker (Hamill) is confronted by the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Guinness), who instructs him to go to Dagobah and seek out the Jedi Master Yoda (Oz). The rebels are discovered, and following a battle with the Empire, Luke leaves the Rebellion to find Yoda, while Princess Leia (Fisher), Han Solo (Ford), Chewbacca (Mayhew) and the droids C-3PO (Daniels) and R2-D2 (Baker) leave Hoth in the Millennium Falcon.
After arriving on Dagobah, Luke begins his training with Yoda to becoming a Jedi Knight. Meanwhile, Darth Vader (Prowse/Jones), dispatches a number of bounty hunters to seek out Princess Leia and her protectors. Boba Fett, one of the hunters, tracks the Millennium Falcon to Cloud City where he devises a trap.
macgeek, take it easy. everyone has the right to their own opinion. No need to flip out. And why I wonder, are you comparing the plots of the old trilogy to the new ones? I personally think that none of the prequels could even come close to being as good as the first two. They are such classics......its a pity these new Star Wars fans nowadays.....Where are all the old fans?

There will be one thing that the so called "phycics" will say to the "non phycics" after Revenge of the Sith comes out.
The "non phycics" will be so ashamed that they didn't realise how good a movie it would be before hand, and the "phycics" will tell them, "You have paid the price for your lack of vision"
after reading both the novels for both movies, I think the novel for ROTS is better.
Now, assuming the movies are better than the books (which in this case they are IMHO) ROTS has potential to blow everything else away.
Mainly the scene where Anakin wakes up as a robot and realizes what he's done. The very reason he betrayed everything he knew, (the Jedi order) all of his friends and family(fellow Jedi, mainly Obi-Wan) he still could not stop Padme's death. Not even that, he causes it as a result of this decision to "save her"! The heartbrake, the sorrow, the darkness that must have infested inside him are incredible and it really makes you feel bad for Anakin.
I think emotionally, it will destroy ESB, and overall it most likely will.
However, I still maintain the best line of the saga thus far is and possibly always will be, "No, I am your father!"
Will you shut up hunchy? You really can't consider the possibility (fact most likely), that ROTS with blow the classics to hell. The classics will still be great movies, but next to ROTS they will be nothing.
I feel sorry for you hunchy, because after the movie comes out, you are going to feel like such a sorry fool. I promise I won't tease you about it. But i'm sure other people will. Listen to Darth Nefarus. He speaks the truth.

MacGeek, you do need to calm down. You expressed your opinion, I expressed mine. But there is one thing that you dont seem to understand...I think Revenge of the Sith will be a very good movie, but in my book nothing comes CLOSE to the old trilogy. No matter how good it is, I don't think it will even come within a league of the first two....and no, I will not be sorry after viewing it.
