Re: The ending of Saw

ok, i've heard people talking about the ending of saw as being the easy way out (ok people like C-Dic) how do you think the movie should have ended?
The ending was perfect. It was a surprise, errie music, and just left you saying "The was crucial".
I liked the ending. The thing I didn't like was how Jigsaw was able to sit still for so long.

Cary Elwes should have died, though. Not for his greed, but for being a Ken doll look-alike, and a shit actor.
Cabin fever was also a great movie, I agree godsend was horrible, but cabin fever was very well done. cabin fever and saw are both "Another guy with a dream" stories as to how they got the movie made. Cabin fever was an ode to the classics but with its own unique "monster". Bottom line is both with a few exeptions (28 Days Later, Dog Soldiers ect.) Cabin Fever and Saw are the best the horror genre has offered recently.

Call it an "ode", call it an "homage". I call it bullshit, and the epitome, the absolute HEIGHT of uncreativity. Eli Roth is a hack who decided to make a movie with elements of his favorite horror movies, and glue it together with kindergarten paste. Christ. Even "Wrong Turn" limited itself to 2 or 3 movies from which it ripped off. "Crappin' Fever" just went through the horror movie buffet and came back for seconds.
The "unique monster" was the bacteria in drinking water. Far from original. I'm surprised Erin Brockovich didn't make a cameo.
If what you say is the same sentiment that is shared by other horror fans, than that only solidfied my opinion that the Horror genre is even more doomed that I thought.
I don't have a suggestion as to how it should have ended. It doesn't make any sense for a clinically ill man to have been the killer, apparently having been off his meds, laying still on a floor, HAVING JUST WALKED OUT OF A HOSPITAL WITHOUT ANYONE NOTICING...amongst other discrepancies.
Maybe they should have had Cary Elwes' wife as the killer? She sets him up for all his cheating and time away, looking to teach him the ultimate lesson.

The characters involved were fine, it was just that everything was a little too convenient. Cary Elwes should have died, though. Not for his greed, but for being a Ken doll look-alike, and a shit actor.
I think he did die, if not from his injuries then the killer would have caught up with him, couldn't have been too hard to catch with only one foot.
