Saw

The ending of Saw, you were able to piece together and realize how it makes sense that it was this guy all along.

I can see what you're talking about, BF, with endings such as Hide and Seek, where they basically tell you what you have been watching is wrong.

I liked Saw very much. I have never seen Se7en though I have been meaning to so I can't compare the two. I find it better that way anyway, allow it to be good alone and not be compared with another film.

Spoiler:
Yeah, I found the fact that Jigsaw was able to hold still for so long weak too. I believe Adam even pointed out that he wasn't breathing.

I liked the ending. I wasn't expecting a surprise ending and was sure glad Jigsaw didn't turn out to be Zep. 😂

As for "the bad guy winning", I like it because you don't see much of that. I was expecting Adam and Dr. Gordon to make it out okay and the Jigsaw getting killed. When I watch a horror movie such as this, I root for the killer. He's the only one I hope will survive in the movie.

And C-Dic, who said

Spoiler:
he "just slipped out of the hospital undetected"? The whole hospital could have been looking for him for all we know.

You see this almost constantly in these types of movies. It's the easy way to make a movie anger the audience, and make them feel frusturated.

I merged all of the saw threads.

Couldn't he have been

Spoiler:
under the opiate influence that the guy whose stomach was gutted was and timed when he would wake up (six-thirty)
or perhaps something similar to it?

those are good points wolfie and botankus, do the other characters make any reference to him throughout the movie? Like sying who the fu#ck is this guy lying in the middle of the floor,i cant remember

Here's a better question. How was the "dead" guy on the floor the one that was able to electricute the two in the room at the end? At one point, he had a gun in one hand, and a tape recorder in the other? Unless he had a 3rd hand, at some point, he had to have to found the time to whip that buzzer out to use it, without being seen obtaining it, much less USING IT on them!

In turn, that would rule out the opiate overdose. Because if he were frozen, he couldn't move anytime before the end, if your theory were to stand, Chris.

Unless...whatshisname who was recruited to watch through on the television also had access to the electricity buzzer.

He was at Lawrence's house watching through closed circuit, though. That would have to be one HELL of a remote, lol!

I think the obvious answer is that the dead guy on the floor had a rare disorder called Clairvoyanstatictelekinesis and had the ability to predict when a person would move, shock them through mere brain power, while using high-voltage electricity at the same time.

This is a great movie

I think the writer/directors suffer from a case of plotholegaloreamakeshitupasosis. 🙁

Botankus, Jigsaw was the one with the buzzer. At the end, when Adam tries to shoot him with the empty gun, we see him shock him again.

As to how he did it the first couple times, I don't know, maybe he had it in his mouth?

Nah, it's just a sloppy movie.

it is pretty hard to explain things like that, i dont think even the director could make a plausable answer up for some of the questions raised so far

What time was it when Cary Elwes turned the lights out? After the lights come back on and the fake cigarette is smoked, that's when the first electric shock occurs. Maybe Jigsaw had come to at that point....bleh, oh, well, nevermind. I'm done contemplating.

I took that into consideration, BUT, he would have had to move his arm which were both above his head IIRC, which means he would have smeared a ton of blood on the floor when doing so to keep his position, only reaching somewhere lower to grab the remote. 😉

....and no, I don't watch CSI.

yeah, SURE 😉

is the absolute goal of moviemakers to put a whole lot of gore in a movie and hope people will get scared?

ok ive read all ur views on saw and in my opinion having seen just about every movie that was ever made since 1970,lol i think saw is excellent, firstly for 2 first time filmakers it really is an acheivement, now comparing saw to the total shit ive had the misfortune to sit thru this week, just going back to whoknows just said i just finished watching a movie called samhain, basically no script the actors were as wooden as a park bench but quite a bit of gore this movie should be avoided it sux, then there was boogeyman, garbage!,well made garbage!,creep another piece of crap that ull hate urself for watching and 5 mins after seeing it ull forget it,im british and ill admit with few exceptions we dont make very good horror movies, hide and seek i mean cmon it looked cool sure was very disapointing tho, dead birds, not bad but coulda been so much better,BUT there were 2 good movies i saw this week, suspect zero and mindhunters,im going off point a bit here
the point im making is this ,when watch horror movies and have seen as many as i have and as many as i get to see when a movie like saw comes along it is a breath of fresh air so instead of slating, good intelligent well made movies take a look at some of the crap just listed, after seeing them ull be screaming to see a good movie like saw, thanks 🙂
