Could the possible invasion of iran be america's downfall?

I think he is saying that many US soldiers would be killed. It will cost billions of more dollars and send the USA to much in debt and that could wreck the economy maybe. Increase tensions around the world tenfold. What the hell, what would you get from Iran expect some oil.??If to many are killed you may lose public support and start another 1960's peace effort which no one wants. It would be a pointless war were thousands of American soldiers would be killed and hundreds of thousands of Innocent civilians. However i doubt few care about such things. Imo If Bush is going after Iran, why not take over the whole middle east!!! Why not china how about North Korea. Vaala you get an american world empire.🙁

Good points, but...we don't have to take over Iran. We could smash their nuke program with air strikes. (Isreal did it to Iraq in the early 80's and it set Sadam back 20 years.) As for the civlian deaths? it is regretable. But they would be Iranians. If terrorist's get their filthy paws on a nuke they will use it on a western city: New York, Madrid, Paris, London? Stopping that should trump any qualms you have about impending war in Iran. These muslim terrorists are not going to simply "live and let live."

As for North Korea, that's a whole seperate issue, a place where war is impractical (for a bunch of reasons) and containment IS an option.

I have a muslim mate, he doesn't reckon I am Satan, or that the U.S is the Great Satan. I'm sure he isn't the only one.
