I disagree with this. Any later version of Captain Marvel would beat Supes IMO. He has too many showings of this and of Superman needing a plot to beat him or get him out of the fight.

Captain Marvel has always demonstrated as being the superior in a fight against Supes in my opinion.

The only reason I gave Supes 4/10 is because of his experience and me agreeing with JLking, heatvision does play its toll. Its not going to drop marvel but it'll set up attacks for Supes.

Didnt he easily defeat darkseid during the time he was on the planet and threw him through the wall to his slaves. I dont think he held back during that time either, that was one of his best showings against darkseid.

I love the mongul fight also, I forgot all about that. I still dont think that either of those supes that fought mongul and darkseid is anywhere CLOSE to the Supes that fought in the jlu.

But your point is still MOOT, it took TWO punches to drop Supes, TWO.

It doesnt matter if it was magical, none magical, dipped in galactus blood, etc... Its was a punched that Captain marvel can replicate again and again. He two shotted Supes and if it just took two punches I wonder how many it would take on a forum battle.

JLKING, you are a dc fanatic. How about you look at the Eclipso fight where Superman body got taken over. Superman say a little speech to captain marvel, asking him to kill him and captain marvel backs down.

wow i didn't think this subject would get this heated.......honestly everyone i HATE superman and i love comics so much i really can not say their are any other chars that i hate but truth is superman is uber powerful and Captain is his equal dc always trys to make that known it seems...in fact remember dc sued fawcett comics for making him and he was taken out until dc bought his rights....CM is almost like superman's human counter part....but its not just their similarity's that make them so alike its also their difference's....i mean what one lacks they make up for with a different power....SM has heat vision and CM has magic lighting....in an all out fight i believe the durability is the decider between the two and i believe that to be slightly in CM's favor thats my reasoning for why Captain wins.....besides if you look back at comics of BA and CM fighting they can call forth the lighting to just heal themselfs and it doesn't have to change them....so if cap gets in trouble he could actually call it down heal himself and still be ready to fight where superman does not have that luxury.
