I always got the indication that marvel always wanted to be like Superman. He did call him the greatest hero on the planet (which he is).

yes. in a slug fest marvel has the advantage. batman still made the switch.

By the way, this fight will come down to h2h in the end.

I think it would and Supes has hv and ib while cap has magical lightning. I'm pretty sure if Supes use his hv, captain marvel would start screaming shazam. I think the lightning would hurt superman much worse than the hv hurting cap.

the lightning has to hit him, though. plus, he's tanked it before.

I agree, he can dodge it but I'm pretty sure if cap hit him with a haymaker and call shazam while Superman is on the ground, that would pretty much end the fight.

but it wouldn't. he's taken multiple lightning blasts before and been fine. even when shazam had an eclipso possessed superman in his grip, all the lightning did was break eclipso's hold. superman was still strong enough to break out of the hold.

and one punch won't put superman down for that long either.

Same can be said for Captain Marvel since he has showings of taking heat vision.

If Zod can take heat vision, I dont see why captain marvel cant.
