See, I usually like books better than movies period, unless the book is based on the movie.Jurassic Park? Book is better.
The Lost World? Book. Though the book and the movie have absolutely nothing incommon except the names of... 3 characters... and the name of the Island. Nope, No T-rex roaming around San-Deigo in the book.
Andromida Strain? Book.
Timeline, Frankenstein... Books kick the movies asses.
Beowulf. Hell the book is a Poem and it is still vastly superior to that disgraceful movie.Books usually have so much more depth that movies just can't even begin to touch.
I agree with this. I generally love the books and the movie is a huge dissapointment for me. However for some reason the HP books bored me to tears.
Have to say that Jurassic Park is one of THE best books Ive ever read.
My favorite book is still Prey, by Michael Crichton.

However my previous Assistant Manager at work got me hooked on a very interesting series called: The Sword of Truth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sword_of_Truth
Which is a suprisingly good series. 11 books. Pretty long though, with the first one being 8 hundred and something pages (would check the actual number but I loaned it to Nactous to let him read it) the second is 975 pages and the one I am on is 623 pages long (I'm on page 13, should be 113, but I haven't had a chance to read today.)
I am trying to finish those before november though so I can read Pirate Lattitudes, which is Crichton's next novel... and then there is one more, then no more Michael Crichton novels. ever... Oh, cancer, why must you always kill awesomeness. 🙁
I am also currently reading the Legend of Zelda and Philosophy. Not a big philosophy person but you know what? It was Zelda, so I naturally bought it.
As far as that one goes I am somewhere in Level 2: Dodongo and Death.
I just watch Curious Case of Benjamin Button, I found the 1st half very beautiful. I firmly believe the theme of the movie was inspired by French entertainment. Just everything of a scene with story telling and characters had this Frech wit like Jean-Piere Jeunet(sp).
I thought it was really cute to see Brat and Angies girl Shilo play a few seconds on the film.

OK I just ordered the first book in that Sword of Truth series from PaperBackSwap. I hope its good, I generally dont like fantasy books but Im willing to give it a shot. The only fantasy series Ive ever liked so far has been The Dresden Files books by Jim Butcher, which are awesomeness. 🙂
I like Q, the episodes with him were interesting, but I've always been a big fan of the Borg. I don't know why, but I've always liked the concept of a collective intelligence that is neigh unstoppable. I think that's why I like the Flood in Halo, because they remind me of the Borg.

My boyfriend got me a promise ring for 6 month aniversary. My sister and mom keep bing it up trying to get me to say if we're engaged or something. Pfft.
Who gets engaged after being with each other 6 months? Crazy. I'm 20 years old and still haven't gotten my degrees (associates & bachelor). I'm too level headed for marrage.
