They didn't KNOW their mother... there is no relationship with her.

Details about Vader's fall and the fall of the Jedi... that's all exposition. We should have seen that in the PT... And basically we did. The Jedi fell because they were internally focussed, blind, bland, not caring etc... That's at least what I could see: a bunch of old farts doing things they always did without seeing the change or (when they did see it) not able to do anything about it.

The details about Vader's fall will always be a mystery though. 😉

Wait, don't misunderstand me. I wasn't saying that that needs to be in the new films. I'm just saying that I think Luke and Leia dealing with it (perhaps in comic book form) - Luke in particular in learning the lessons of the old Jedi Order - would be a worthwhile story to tell.

Well, maybe. I don't think learning the 'old ways' is useful for Luke. The real challenge is to transfer his (limited) Jedi knowledge onto new students... Getting stuff from the old farts won't help him, I think.

By 'learning the lessons' I mean learning what they did wrong, and why they fell.

Well, I think Luke should learn all new ways to do things wrong. 😉

So, to update you my love queeq and smx, corn and whoever gives a tinkers damn, I am on my way to becoming the bionic woman. I have two artificial knees now and apparently the shoulders are going to need at the very least arthroscopic surgery or at the most total replacement surgery. Rheumatoid arthritis is a serious b*tch I'm telling you. My son-in-law is a big fan of the saga

and between him and Mimi [that's what my grandson calls me] my grandson is now a big fan. When he switched to a big boy bed my daughter did the entire room in SW decor. One more, right after my daughter took this picture, my grandson ran that little motorized car right into the mailbox. Some guy driving down the street had to pull over because he was laughing so hard. 😆 😆
