paid period days!

at the moment, women who have horrible period pains get 12 paid days off work a year.
recently, theyr'e thinking of increasing it to 24 days!

this is obviously for women who have them really bad, and they have to have a doctors letter confirming this....

what do you guys think of it?

i think its a really good idea because i have SUCH bad pains sometimes.....

They should get no days off for their period. They can use their sick days if they're that bad. Absolutely dumbfounding. It's stupid to give women extra days off. If they give them the days off then they should also give men the same number of available days off.

but what if the girl gets sick and uses all her sick days....then gets really bad pains?? 😕
it's probably harder for guys to understand, and i realise that most of them will say it's a stupid idea, but some people can't even get out of bed its so sore....
its not like they'd be at home partying or anything...or even in bed sleeping, cause the pain is so bad sometimes that you cant even sleep.

i have had to take days of school (only once) and i was just in bed with a hot water bottle on my stomach all day, sleeping for 30 mins every now and then....it's horrible when its summer...

Then they shouldn't have used all their sick days, tough shit for them. If they need special treatment to do the same amount of work as a man they maybe women shouldn't be hired.

Also they have medicine that you can take if your period is that bad.

As I said, this is only acceptable if the same number of days apply for both sexes, or if the companies that do this automatically pay the men more money then women.

yeah thats true - i have pills that i have to take....but mine dont get as bad as others...perhaps it doesnt work as well for them because mine doesnt totally block out the pains....

Then they shouldn't work if they can't handle the job. Or else they should get paid a considerable amount less then the people who don't need to take ridiculous amounts of days off.

ok, i dont KNOW about this, but its probably pretty close to true, but i'd say that some period pains hurt about as much as when you guys get kicked in the balls.... (maybe more, maybe less)
now just imagine a whole day of that 😖

I don't envy girls one bit when it comes to period pain and they have my every sympathy.
