why is this conversation even going, cos we all ready know superman is stronger than the hulk because theyv already battled twice in the comics with supes beating the living hell out of the hulk both times, and before anyone starts arguing i will let you know right now that the comics are right infront of me and if you want me to show you proof i will put all the images of every battle they have had in a cross over with hulk getting his ass beat with ease on the forum right now.

Why does every one keep treating this as a fight? The question is who is stronger. In a fight, it wouldn't matter even if Hulk was several times stronger than Supes anyway, because Supes would still be too fast and versatile to lose.
The Hulk HAS performed great feats of strength that match up to and possibly even surpass Superman's feat (just read Cosmic Cube's examples earlier in this thread).
It all comes to this basically: Supes starts off somewhat stronger, but Hulk can always surpass him. I don't believeit takes a long time like most people belive, but it wouldn't matter in the end; whether it takes a minute, an hour, or a day, Hulk could and would surpass Superman.

There wouldn't be a fight. Superman is too fast for the Hulk to even see, much less, engage.

Compare Superman to the real Hulk. Before he became a jobber. The Savage Hulk.
The Savage Hulk is (was) undeniably stronger than Superman. Even Pre-crisis Superman.

He couldn't slap Supes because Supes is WAY too fast for Hulk. By the time Hulk got to him, he'd already be floating in space.
Supes, at base, is already more powerful than Hulk.
Hulk has no chance.
