Superman comics should be discontinued...i wouldnt wipe my ass with his comics.
give me one reason why Superman is an interesting character?
The guy is worthless....
if you read him there is something seriously wrong with you.

He's the most popular comic book character ever and the greatest. Superman represents America and how strong America is. Anyone that hates Superman is just Jealous because all other comic book characters would get owned by him unless they used Kryptonite.

Must disagree with that last part. Superman isn't totally unbeatable, you know. Even without Kryptonite. He's lost a few fights in his day.

I know that, but he's still the greatest hero ever.

Or are Batman....not to forget that every BackseatMagician could pawn him Big Time

YEah, yeah , yeah , he may have too much powers and all that crap, but he's the first SUPER Super hero( thus the name).

SO you can go ahead and say whatever. WE love you supe( thats why they had better not mess up with the new superman movie)

and too add, Superman isn't my favourite superhero, that goes to the spoilt rich kid who got problems, ie Batman

You have a point, don't get me wrong I like superman, but I just expceted him to have limits and stuff, he may be the ideal hero, but they arent always that intresting, which is why my favourite is spider-man, people dnt like him he has money troubles, gets ill and occaisonly gets beaten, just seems more human, superman to me is just a plain hero, which bores me abit, but i suppose i would complain if they weakend supes cause then i would say he isnt like a true ultimate hero anymore lol im just too hard to please.

Are you talking about his Magic weakness? Well here's the way I see it, Everybody is weak to magic in some way becuz they cant control it. But yeah with out taking Superman's weaknesses in to account he owns all.

Yeah, and not taking into account the fact that I have no superpowers and am not especially intelligent, I could probably beat superman in a fight.

Proving that you know nothing of all the other comic characters. That's a fanboy post dude.

* Superman is fine, he may be overrated, but given the nature of his powers, it's understandable...

* not much like Batman, a mere human, but never loses... now that's damn overrated...

"Anyone that hates Superman is just Jealous because all other comic book characters would get owned by him unless they used Kryptonite"

And yet some dont even need it.

As far as i'm concerned, I don't care if gladiator were more powerful indeed than Superman. I don't care if there's 20 million beings more powerful than Superman. What some people fail to understand is that Superman is an idol. He's the guy that's never going to give up fighting for us. He's the adamant soldier that won't back down even if it costs him his life. Spiderman can do the same, but he has nowhere near the responsibility Superman has. Supes fights for a planet that isn't his own, for what they gave to him in the form of a home. And you can always rely on him. Always.

At least that's how i see Superman.

That's tantamount to saying "If you ignore that some would own him, he owns all." Another fanboy post.

Yall have me rolling on the floor laughing over here. Hahahahh!!!
Superman, an icon who never gave up fighting for us, and cherishes us as human beings, even though he's superior to us all.......Ha! You would have thought that when your house was on fire he was the one who came along and blew it out with his ice breath, while singlehandedly lifting your family out the blaze. Not! He's a comic book character. That is all. Maybe in your neck of the woods he's a symbol of all that's right and the American way but over here.........? Not so much. He's just a guy, who through horribly bad writing, starting in the 40's through the 80's, was uninteresting. I remember watching the superfriends when i was younger, and that show back then was like a dull lay. Boring. Found myself switching the channel to the live action Batman, cuz at least that was funny. Maybe if he was an actual hero.....Cuz he doesn't fit the definition in any way, shape, or form. A hero is somebody who prevails despite being faced with overwhelming odds. For a guy who can go "achoo!" and destroy galaxies, or speed from one end of the universe to another in 5 seconds or lift 250,000,000 tons without strain, or fire solar beams from his eyes or juggle planets, his exploits aren't too heroic. Nothing overwhelming, more like underwhelming. I must say though, his finest, and only truly heroic acts were in his death arc. First when he fought Doomsday, and lost(happiest day ever!!!) and then when he came back to life, and took on the Cyborg without his overwhelming powers, but just like any normal mere human. That was when he was truly a hero and by default Superhero. Once he got back on the horse, boring snoozefest. But i'll give him that. For a few issues, Supes was actually a hero worth the title. Cuz if i beat up on little kids on the playground who are being bad, that makes me a bully. But if i got to the junkyard, and take on 5 guys bigger than me because they stole my little brothers bike, then i'm a hero. My thoughts are my own. 1luv

Good MFing post!

I think Superman is the MOST interesting character in comic books. especially if you take into account the new story arc of smallville.

What superman needs is more insight into his history and legacy as the last kryptonian. supes's comics need to be written in a way that makes him interesting. i agree that currently they are pretty bad. but there are some pretty good ones, Superman Birthright was pretty damn good.

what superman needs is new writers and a new direction with new villains who can give him a good fight on a regular basis. but to say that superman is intrinsically uninteresting is absolutely absurd. how can you get more interesting then the last of an alien race, who knows basically nothing about who he is, or where he comes from. there are so many story arcs that could be done with superman.

he just needs new blood to mix up his stories.

p.s the glasses thing is still good IMO

oh and he does need a costume change. they should adopt the Ultimate superman costume as his base costume. get rid of the red whit and blue. its iconic yea, but its really cheesy.

I fear no man who fights crime in his pajamas........He's like the white version of Blankman, but with powers.

Batman is a dick....

This thread is embarassing, I don't remember making it. And I KNOW I could have done a much better job of mocking Superman.

Supes rules, sorry to say
