Knowing someone is smart doesn't automatically mean you can come up with an anti-intelligence plan. They have just enough to have a decent chance. Besides, if Thanos was that invincible, there would not be a point to this thread right?
Look at it this way, You have a rocket launcher and are going against a few people with a bunch stones to throw at you. Would you think they wouldn't have a chance because your weapon is more advanced and you are smarter?

no, if i had prep against people i knew only had stones i'd take an assault rifle with extra mags, shotgun, body armour, helmet, flashbangs, tear gas, an armoured car and a sword

Black Bolt has an easily exploitable weakness - his power is controlled through the little antennae on his head. Without it, he more or less self-destructs. Thor damaged it once and the feedback almost killed Black Bolt. Also, because of the fact that BB is fighting with a team, he can't cut loose with the scream, because he'll take out his own team too. Black Bolt works best when he's fighting alone.
Parallax isn't a hero, and he's way too powerful. Rules say below skyfather.
Ditto with Prime - waaaaay too powerful.
The others are ok, but too prone to psionic attack and a bit redundant.
LOL...this was a great thread, good call with the bump. I was stupid as hell and couldn't form a decent team, but it was fun trying.
And now that I'm thinking about it...Wally West and He-Man...all I need here.
Wally lends Adam the speed force, and before Thanos can say "Holy limitless strength Batman" He-Man has whupped his ass.

I'm sure it's not a full-proof plan...but I don't have the time. Between the tourney and modding I'm on here enough. Hopefully others will give it a shot though. (If He-Man is too powerful just throw in Hulk instead...a mutant nullifier might not work on someone going the speed of light).

ww, gl, strange and fate work to keep thanos busy, and flash whips in and ties thanos in the lasso. the lasso has held and controlled beings at and above thanos's level (it's held at LEAST skyfather level) so i don't really see him breaking it (it's strong enough to drag the MOON!), OR being able to overcome its divine magic. once he's bound, fight over.
(unless you can make a VERY convincing case stating why you believe thanos could either break or resist the lasso . . .)
Man, this thread brings back memories. I'm still on tour in Europe, so I'm only on in obsessive spurts (two days non-stop, then three weeks of nothing), which makes me managing this thread like i did last time difficult, but it was a great idea to revive it since we have a lot of newcomers since then.

For my defense...Supes is faster than He-Man, so yeah he should win that fight. And HM's strength really should be limitless. And anybody with the speed force and that level of strength is going to give Thanos trouble. I could add in a few more brawlers (Mr. Majestic comes to mind as someone who'd give Thanos a good fight without help) and give them all the speed force as well. Thanos can fly fast but has never demonstrated that kind of battle speed, so a few thousand Class too-many-to-accurately-quantify punches within the first few seconds of the fight should at least give the Titan pause.
