It officially crosses Vernon and Dudley off the list of potentials b/c they are Vernon and Dudley Dursley....Petunia poses a problem b/c she was Petunia Evans....however is now a Dursley. Someone asked JKR about her being a squib and JKR laughed and said that she wasn't and then made the comment about none of the Dursley's having magical powers. No way Dudley has a memory charm put on him....but your idea about Neville makes sense...he does forget an awful lot--side effect?
YEA! I can talk about the Neville problem that might happen in the next book. Ok, I think, because they knew of the prophecy, and that Mrs. and Mr. Longbottem didn't seem to go into hiding like the Potters, they sent Neville to live with his grandparents and they had Dumbledore put a memory charm on Neville for something I can't really think of at the moment. It might pop into my head later why he did it. Exactly why Neville forgets a lot and was late on showing signs of him being a wizard. Also might be why he isn't that good at magic.
Plus Petunia can't be a squib because Lily's and Petunia's parents were both muggles.

Good point, squibs are children of wizards who don't turn out to have full blown magical powers, right? I don't think petunia has any kind of magical powers, but i think she knows and understands a lot more then she lets on.

VOLDEMORT! IT IS HIM! Here is my evidence. JKR said something like a lot of info in Chamber of Secrets will be clue for Half Blood Prince. Here is the quote from Chamber of Secrets that lead me to this:"You live in a Muggle orphanage during the holidays, I believe?" said Dippet curiously.
"Yes, sir," said Riddle, reddening slightly.
"You are Muggle-born?
"Half-blood, sir," said Riddle. "Muggle father, witch mother."
And thats it. It is the only person that can be Half Blood Prince. I expect we will find out why he is a prince too! This quote can be found in The Chamber of Secrets, page 244.
